genome Kelly-Swift midfield would be too lightweight I fear. You need your Williams' and your Evans' in there alongside your Kelly's and your Swift's.

Williams is easily as lightweight as Swift or Kelly.

+1

Might have a more physical presence and look more athletic, but my god he's as soft as shit. Would struggle in the u18s girl team.

Certainly looked like it tonight. But to be honest I'm not sure Kelly and Swift playing together helped either.

Anyone, I'll take anyone.

Drogba is free.

What about Shola Ameobi?

Emile Heskey?

If they'll contribute more than Mendes or Samuel, sure.

I know our players aren't ManUre quality, but surely they are better than a corpse?

Stormzy though, do you think we'd get more supporters if he played? Need money from somewhere...
Is there one of those One Direction lads (or similar) supposedly reasonable good - how about them?

Yanic Wildschut at Wigan looks a useful striker. Got a few goals for a dire Latics team this season and every time I see highlights of their games, he seems to be one of their top performers. And he's Dutch! :D

Good, strong player.

He's not a striker, he's basically a younger Roy Beerens.

Meh, 6/10, I sort of appreciate what you're getting at, but it seems a little forced.

Chuba Akpom would be worth a 6 month loan imo. Not a huge fan of loans etc after last season, and would obv mean Samuel getting even less of a look in, but i think it would be worth a go

Bit of a gamble I know and also unlikely to pay his fee and wages, but purely for his pace and physique Cameron Jerome.

Would make a nuisance of himself and would be a great lone striker in our system.

With Ilori, I'd like to see us go three at the back with Gunter and Obita pushed on, three in midfield, drop Beerens and have McCleary off Kermorgant (or a new striker of a similar ilk).

Then if we need to we can take off Swift for a defensive player. Or bring on Beerens / Samuel / Harriott / Meite as a more attacking option sacrificing one of the defenders.
