This has resurfaced again. Apparently we have bid £8million. Crazy money and Preston are crazy to turn it down.

Madness and a poor deal if he is out of contract in June. Where the hell are our scouts? We don’t seem capable of making decent signings outside of the UK these days

He's under contract until 2019 according to Preston. They should know tbf.

Fair enough but he has a bang average scoring record in this division. There must be better value in the market

I'm not saying there isn't. I've never seen Hugill play so no comment there, merely that a line of thought that £8-million for a player who is out of contract in June is too much, is wrong.

I did say ‘if’ he was out of contract it would be too much to pay. I still think it’s too much to pay if his contract doesn’t expire until June 19.

What the oxf*rd is going on at this club... 8 million? Are we trying to bankrupt ourselves on average players?

Sounds like total nonsense anyway

Hugill is a good player imo. Watched him a few times. Big strong lump who would be horrible to play against. I’d like him here.

Yep total nonsense but he's the right sort of player, a mobile Yann somewhat. Nowhere near worth that sort of fee though.

More likely that we've offered £8.

Burt surely not for £8M? Can't understand how today we can be (allegedly) bidding £8M for a player when yesterday the Master Dutch Tactician said we couldn't do much in the market due to FFP and mismanagement by previous owners?? Stam talking bollocks again??

UNLESS Moore IS on his way for £10M?!?!?!

That's because we're not bidding £8m, as the rumour is made up.

You can blame Stam for a lot of things, but don't have a go at him over something that is bollocks.

John Smith Palace?

I think a lot of you don't give me the credit I deserve for my footballing knowledge. 4th in the predictor league, calling this. You'd do well to go by my beliefs that we aren't in the kinds of trouble you're all making out we are...
