CountryRoyal Al-Habsi just tweeted a pic of him giving a thumbs up (in reading colours) with blue hearts.

Read into that what you will.

Did he drop his thumbs?

WoodleyRoyal Michel Vorm, dutch, good with his feet surplus to requirements at Spurs. will probably go to a prem club but BT might be able to work his magic.

That's a good shout although he must be on massive wages.

Another player in a similar position would be Maarten Stekelenburg.
At Everton but don't think he's been getting much game time behind Joel Robles.

Or the record signing (GK) of Jordan Pickford?

Well yes but he's only just been signed. I was hinting at the fact that Stekelenburg was already behind Joel Robles for a starting place.

Stekelenburg needs to drop down to a lesser league to reignite his career. Having said that there must be a reason suck a highly rated keeper can't get a game nowadays...

a short flight to Muscat, they pay wages up to £35k a week it seems, they are the current champions, they are in the Asian Champions League. Would be hard for him to turn it down at his age I reckz.

Given how many years he has worked away from his family, simply could not begrudge the guy the chance to work closer.

If this is true, then good luck.

And hopefully they've given us some ££££'s that have made it hard for us to turn down to.

Sad to see him go, but he's always prone to the odd clanger and his distribution is middling to poor so definitely something we can get over.

Doubt we will recieve above £500,000, the opportunity for al-Habsi is far too good to turn down, close to his family etc etc

If true - is anyone else getting worried about next season?

Williams and AAH gone - two main first team players. Any replacements will have to gel quickly.

A little to be honest. Still missing a forward and replacements for those two at the very least

AAH - good shot stopper but poor distribution
Williams - hard worker, good defensively but average passing and slightly lacking end product

Both fantastic Championship players, but their weaknesses mean they aren't the best fit for Stam's style of play

Same here. Absolutely nothing against the two players and would happily have them stay. But both have got the opportunity to play at a higher level / move closer to family and get a longer contract then I'm sure we'd have offered.

I feel both players didn't quite fit into the Stam system, not for a lack of trying and now we have an opportunity to recruit more suited players.

Getting a tad that way. I've seen nothing from our transfer business, both completed and rumoured, to date that in my opinion corroborate Stam's proposal of bringing in quality players which significantly improve the squad.

As you said because of the playoffs we have less time to do things than normally. It's still early days but only time will tell.

 We'll struggle to replace him.

We need some good news on the transfer front soon. I'm starting to get a little downbeat about the season starting. Next Month.
