Speculation: Gary Mackay-Steven

There’s been some speculation linking us with Gary Mackay-Steven of Celtic along with Sheffield United. Although Sheffield’s interest seems more serious in the media, this player does fit our criteria. 26-year-old, hungry, predominantly a left winger but can also play on the right and through the middle which suits our set up. Fee rumoured to be 750K.

There's talk up here of him going back to Dundee or Aberdeen.

Not really sure how he'd fit in. No room for wingers in a 3-5-2 and when we play 4-3-3 you'd assume Beerens, McCleary, Meite, Harriot and Pelle (plus Hurtado) are more than enough and he won't want to come here to sit on the bench.

EDIT: I do distinctly remember him playing as a Left Wing Back for Dundee a few years ago. So perhaps could come in to put Obita under some pressure.
