it was £250K but I get your point. I used to will Moran to do well every game but he was very average and a waste of money.

I'm not sure i want to live in a world where the best you can expect to get for £10m is Nahki Wells.

He's got a pretty decent scoring record against us, so at least we wouldn't have to worry about that if we sign him, unless of course he starts scoring own goals.

I doubt that the average championship uncome has risen by the same proprotion as transfer fees and wages.

It doesn't matter how much more money is in the PL if it isn't trickling down.

When Man City are splashing out £50 million on defenders. You know that the world of football has completely lost it's marbles.

Remember when Martin Butler was signed for £750k in 2000. Seemed mad. Combined with Jamie Cureton though became a legendary pairing.

We are desperate for strikers who have played at Championship level.

I would have been happy with Daryl Murphy. Would have been a decent signing for us what with Yann out for the start of the season. No big money deal but proven at this level.

Gone are the days when you can sign Doyle, Long, Kitson & Lita combined for a quarter of what Wells would cost :(

Reading are planning a double swoop for Huddersfield striker Nakhi Wells and Fulham forward Sone Aluko. [TEAMtalk]

He'll want a crack at the Premiership. Can't see this one happening at all.

Have you applied to GetReading? Could be the ideal candidate.

Ridiculous rumours in "press" of £10M!! I mean really?!?!?!

Rated him - but not anywhere near that price!

The headline might read £10m but I would have thought the structure of the deal would be something like this.

4yr contract @ 50k a week £2,400,000 wages
Agents and fees around £1,000,000 (10% of the total package)
Add ons for goals scored and promotion £1,000,000
Players fee £5,600,000

The total deal could add up to £10m

£5.6m for Wells is about the going rate and yes, I do believe to get him to come here it would take a 4yr contract at 50k a week.
