Adrian Popa

Why would he be on his way to Istanbul?

I’m just being a social media 1+1=3, but...

Who knows? But if Popa is still at the club come the end of Jan I will be very surprised.

Really annoyed about the lack of game time awarded to Popa while "no end product" Aluko gets to be a permanent fixture.

Be best for everyone if he moves on tbh. Liked him but Stam clearly doesn’t rate. He’s too old to be knocking about the reserves

Currently in Bucharest. Why? If he's injured, why can't he get physiotherapy in Reading?

An awful, awful signing.

Popa clearly isn't fit though, probably about 2 stone overweight the last time he came on for us. You want something like that in the team? Say what you like about Aluko at least he is fit and healthy.

Which from my perspective makes Aluko an even bigger shirker. He's match fit but puts in about 10% effort. Agree on Popa though. Does himself no favours.

Out for 8 weeks now apparently. Not that we'd notice the difference.

Jesus. For all the talk of GMac and Harriott being injury prone, Popa is little better. What a waste of time

He can go to more Romanian nightclubs now and smoke. Put on a few more pounds too. He walked past me last night on the way in, swear I am in better shape to play football than him.

...and to think that a handful of years ago we killed a deal for Bradley Wright Phillips due to a medical identifying a "dodgy knee"... a £100k deal at that..

Since then hes been tearing it up in MLS...goals galore...

...how did we get that one so wrong ??

Let's not forget he is an Romanian international and was playing regularly for Steaua so hardly a waste of space but guess it's what comes of never playing and then being injured. If he'd been played (or at least involved) by Stam in the first place we might have a different player now.

Well, when you drink, smoke, carry too much weight and take regular short hall flights, it's not a huge surprise your conditioning isn't going to be great.
