percy_freeman My Granny and she's been dead for 30 years. Bring back Burns or Bullivant.....
Parky time for me....
parky is a rtg pipe dream...not good enough (still)

Think that we still have the right manager........he just needs to actually utilise his options.

Is Parky that far beneath us though? He's doing a pretty good job keeping Bolton in the fight for survival considering they have been under a transfer embargo since 2015.

That said, if the desire around the club is to produce the sort of patient, possession based style that Stam is trying to produce then Parky probably isn't the right fit anyway.

The issue with Parky is that throughout his management career, he's been able to get teams out of League 1 but struggled to keep them in the Championship. He's also a bit of long ball merchant so there's an obvious stick to beat him with If he isn't immediately successful. Whilst he'll instill a bit of grit and steel, I don't think we have the players to run all day like headless chickens, sling long balls to the head a 6'5" centre forward and stick an elbow in the throat of their marker when the ref isn't looking.

I'm fed up of new managers, and the whole rebuilding of the team, their bedding in period, learning their best 11, and the whole thing that goes with that.

Stick with Jaap Stam. We won't go down this year, we won't go up. Give him some money in January and the summer and a chance.[/quote]

I agree that managers should be given time, but what worries me about Stam is that he did well last season, had a summer transfer window to fine tune the team, but this season the team are playing boring football and getting rubbish results. And when we do have a good result he changes the team.

Apart from the time in the last 2 months where he kept the same team for 5 games in a row?

Think people forget how fortuitous we were last year with many of our results.

Why would you want CC? Spent a fortune, messed up two play offs, pretty dull side to watch and was below us when he got sacked

FWIW is look at Dean Smith, Jokanovic at Fulham (neither would nec come but they might), Paul Hurst at Shrewsbury or Danny Cowley at Lincoln

Dean Smith from Brentford, similar styles of play with a bit more purpose

He’d be my first choice. Would be slightly concerned by their similar inability to keep clean sheets though
