Lewis Grabban to return...

by TBM » 06 Jan 2018 00:50

So Grabban has asked to leave Sunderland to return to Bournemouth cos apparently we are set to make a bid for the striker.

Do we need him back?

Don't think Stam knows he's a striker either. In Stam's world there are 2 types of players. Wingers. And Wingers played out of position.

Excellent striker but pointless him returning to Reading as Stam would just stick him back in midfield

Hell no. He was pretty poor whilst here the first time. There's no reason to think he'll do better when we're worse. Just because he scored some goals at Sunderland doesn't mean he'll do the same here.

We could try giving Bodvarsson an actual go.

Yeah but so would Messi be if played as a CB.

very this....ok, I hear that he might’ve been poorly today, but, what has he done to upset JS?

Disagree on Grabban tho, I think his goalscoring credentials (when positioned correctly) speak for themselves. He wasn’t THAT shabby in a couple of games towards the back end of last season (even when he wasn’t).

if he wanted to play for a relegation threatened side, think he would have stayed at Sunderland. It was his choice not to carry on there apparently

um.. I reckon he would do fine at cb in the championship.. He could just run the ball all the way up the pitch..

Florists property now (the obvious ‘undisclosed’), they are at least 12 goals to the good next season already.

Proven Championship goalscorer (when played in his correct position).

Missed opportunity?

6m for a 30 year old - not really the right deal for us at This stage I’d say

Where have they suddenly got loads of money from anyway? Thought they were skint
