Deadline Day Thread

by genome » 31 Jan 2018 10:52

A thread for random rumours, spaculation, and general goings on, interspersed with perhaps some goings on at other clubs, if you want.

Our sweet bearded prince is ready.

Looks like Jordan Rhodes might be available, rumoured to go to Sunderland. Worth a punt?

Hard to put a finger on it but something about him I just don't rate. Career has really tailed off. Would imagine wages would also be a problem as doubt Weds would be looking to subsidise them if he goes to another team in the bottom half of the table.

Do we ironically look a little light on the wings now? Winger and a striker to come in? Would love to take Woodburn in on loan from Liverpool to replace Beerens.

Aye, but I expect Beerens might have been on a wedge that we could now put towards it.

I'd have him over Martin, who is probably on similar money.

6 goals in 9 games for Mouscron this season. Congolese international. Work Permit could be an issue if true?

A Blackburn supporting mate said he was a weird one for them, great goalscoring record but was incredibly lazy and the fans would get on his back a lot. Reckons he has an obvious natural talent for getting in the right place to finish things off but seemed to use that to justify slowly wandering round aimlessly for most of the match.
