genome
paultheroyal Courtney Friday is a bell end of the highest order. Being in his company for 5 minutes you will feel the wave and stench of sleazy, arrogant and fake personality coming all over you.

Bad experience, Paul?

Some might say a trifle harsh - but what you hear, you see, and first impressions - yep they are all true.

And genuinely - his lack of contacts and the like means his number one source is twitter rumours and this forum. True.

I have met him once. From what I saw and heard from him he comes over more like an estate agent than a journalist. Seems like an arse.

I assume you've met him, then?

Wouldn't surprise me. He even manages to look smug in his Twitter profile picture.

That's pretty fair I'd say.

He does work for a newspaper that shut down it's Sports department after the editor wrote a bullshit article about hooliganism. Shoddy excuse for a local rag.

Wouldn't surprise me is sports reporting, sorry, scouring Twitter for transfer rumours was just one part of his remit at the Chronic along with making the teas and buying the milk. Give an idiot a Twitter account and it makes them an idiot with an inflated sense of their own importance.

From BBRB this morning...

ReadingFC boss Paul Clement has been giving a transfer window update

He says the club are 'close' to another couple of signings in the next fortnight, with 'maybe' an attacking player later on in the window

More with @willow1871 all morning:

cool, would be good to get people in very early. Imagine Meyler is one of those

wonder if Jordan Hugill is still on the radar. Did he even play a minute for West Ham? Suspect a loan back to the champ is going to happen

Maybe reading too much into that but does it imply that the two signings are NOT attacking players?
A new keeper and centre-back or left-back perhaps?

Saying all the right things and doesn't sound like a complete cock - unlike some of his predecessors (particularly Adkins).

Agreed. He actually sounds 'normal'

Interesting last comment - we want less strikers (5) but more quality. Suggests a couple might be on their way out

Wouldn't surprise me if they pay up Kermie's last year and shift one or both of Loader/Smith on loan.

Work with Dadi, Novakovich, New singing (poss one of Smith/Loader).

Well he's got to do that. If it were up to me I'd sling Böðvarsson out too. Quite possibly the most ineffective, average excuse for a footballer since Jeremie Aliadiere who was only signed as there was no one else available.

wouldn't be overly suprised to see him try to move on Bod if there was interest for him. Worth keeping I think as 2nd/3rd choice though imo

He's too good for us in our current position and it was always going to happen. Wouldn't begrudge him a move.

Wikipedia On 31 January 2018, Hugill completed a deadline day signing for Premier League club West Ham United in a reported £10 million transfer deal, becoming manager David Moyes's second signing at the London Stadium.[31] However he was restricted to a handful of brief cameos in the second half of the 2017–18 season, playing just 22 minutes in total

What a signing!
