After previous terrible World Cups for England, I did a bit of research. When you look at the results compared to the decisions on who should be selected, previous World Cups have seen great, but totally knackered players selected. When youth, or, by default, great players who have beeen injured during the course of the season are selected, our results and the way we play seriously improve.
Is it posssible that, by chance, GS has found the answer? I would have a fit Andy What's his name (from West Ham) in the squad but, otherwise, I still see us as a squad able to confound any critics and attain the later stages. After that, anything can happen.
