He means being reported by Swedish media, aftonbladet, who have good connections to Barrow. Doubt there's smoke without fire on this.

Under normal circumstances 10m would represent pretty good business and we should easily be able to find a replacement and then some with that sort of money, however he's our best attacking outlet and with so little left of the window it would be a huge blow if he were to depart.

Urgh, he is a bloody good player though tbf. Was watching him last night closely and he is top notch. Pressing game suits him as well, defends well from the front

Obvs wouldn’t begrudge him a move back to the prem but he really is our best, if not our only, outlet at times

Gotta hate this stage in every season, you are supporting a team that may not necessarily end up being your team.

Transfer window (if we really have to have one?j should be carried out in the closed season.

Weren’t some saying only just last week that Barrow, like Aluko, is a problem and a liability cos he doesn’t track back, he’s out of position, doesn’t help the full back, etc?

Anyway, 10 mil? Hold out for 12, then he and Moore can go. Think what we could then do with 25-30 mil

With our track record of spending significant money, I don’t really want to.

Heh, I hear ya, we’d likely get two cartons of cigs and a bottle of scotch out of it

If I had to have a bet on it I'd say Barrow's agent has just leaked things to a publication in order to generate interest in his player before the transfer window closes. Wouldn't have thought there is any solid interest.

Barrow is decent but silly money like £10m would be impossible to turn down.

Like oxf*rd the full amount would be invested back into the team, having a laugh aren't you? Lucky to have half of it invested in new players.

He looked like he worked harder defensively against Derby although it's hard to tell about defensive duties from a winger unless you're there live to see what they're up to positionally.

Lack of support to tge full backs was certainly a problem last year. Whilst Barrow is clearly one of the best couple of players at the club I still feel that his value and weaknesses mean selling him could actually end up improving us.

But it's very late in the window for that and if he's actually fixing his main weakness it'd be a bummer.

That's what needs to happen when you make substantial losses most seasons.

Even £12m could do a huge amount for this team assuming we lost Barrow and Moore and offset losses with half the money.

Prb is that it appears currently that the club doesnt want to be spending notable amounts on a player(s)...so selling Barrow and Moore for c10m a piece will prb see 80-90% retained with little made available to replace permanently..then we get into loan syndrome...

Gourlay had said money was available for "the right player"...easy thing to say if you dont actually intend spending..all imho

It could be his agent doing this.
I wonder if Middlesboro would come in for him if they lost Traore.

Incidentally the money would be great but selling our best two players could well make us relegation certainties-our one attacking option for the past year has been "Give it to Mo".

Maybe we're not spending much because we don't have a lot, and if we shift two big earners for big fees we'll then have money and budget flex to allow us to spend more.

Sky sources understand Leicester City are close to signing Monaco winger Rachid Ghezzal.

The clubs have agreed a deal that could be worth £10m and the player has been having a medical ahead of the transfer. Personal terms not expected to be a problem.
