Tom Heaton (GK) - Loan

by One87One » 25 Dec 2018 16:31

Apparently enquired about a loan to buy deal, no doubt dependant on staying up.

He can't kick a football though. Slight drawback when you play out from the back like we are going to do.

His hands have been steady, but yeah, he's impossibly bad with the ball at his feet. Nobody is expecting Pele, but the bloke's been in and around the game for a very long time.

TBF I posted that before I knew we were going back to the Stam book of football tactics. Mannone is a much better option because he`s quite confident with the ball on the deck.

Heaton would be a sensational signing. I’d be stunned if we pulled it off

We haven't even been linked with him. It was a suggestion from one of those shite FLW articles.

Heaton would be an outstanding signing, but cant see us signing him as he's much sort after. If he drops down to Championship, can him wanting one of the top 6. He defiently better than our 3 current goalkeepers.
