Now Huddlestone is first choice how about Tainio from Spurs, he's always looked a decent player...

I would really like us to try and sign Jussi Jaaskelainen, his contract is up in the summer and would be a great signing.

But sadly he could probably sign for a far bigger club than us.

It's all about Sean Davies.

Thought Etuhu (sp?) once again looked very good last night.

This thread shows that there are people out there we should be going for.

papereyes Sorensen, Cahill, Savage.

We'd be a lot tougher with that.

Huddlestone ain't gonna leave Spurs now.

Stelios to give us an option out wide, if he's cheap?

And a striker to replace Lita.

Then two or three relatively unknown players to bring through as we approach safety.

cahill? cant see that one happening

Great thread.

For me, Hoyte, Sorensen, McFadden, Eagles, Taylor and Pique would make me a very, very, very happy man. In fact, an 2 of them would also make me a very happy man.

Im not sure of his situation at City to be honest but as a swedish international you would fancy him to be in the side when fit, then again it was just a quick flick through so im sure i have missed a few out.

So whose this mystery young player we are close to signing?

Hoyte is a no no, he is providing cover for Sagna now that Eboue is about to go off for the ACN. Park Ji Sung has always looked fairly decent for Utd on the wing or in the middle

Oh and LOL @ Van Der Meyde. There is a reason the Everton fans sing his name to What Shall We Do With The Drunken sailor and it's not because it rhymes well

I think the African Cup of Nations is going shift even more of the transfer activity from now to the end of the window than normal to be honest.

A lot of the players that might be available are probably going to be needed by their clubs to cover for their players away on ACN duty, players like Hoyte, Taylor, Davis or Mendes.

It means we might have to be even more patient than normal before not signing anyway. At least it will give the club another excuse for not getting any new players in though.

Very good player.

Very good at getting himself into scraps when out on the piss with his mates as well. With the huge wave of negative opinion towards our current bad boy of football, I'm surprised anyone is even mentioning Cattermole

Perhaps because he is young and talented and Coppell can kick him into order.
