Alan Partridge Sounds like Upson when he was here. We didn't pay the fee then, and we didn't now.


There was no way we could've got Upson though.

Cahill is a different kettle of fish, and a mistake was made if we didn't seriously attempt to get him in.

He was very solid vs us.
He played well.
I am surprised Villa didn't keep him,they have the smallest squad in the EPL.

Well maybe, but Taylor was seen by many to be the sort of player that we needed to sign in order to stay up. We've already got Hunt and Convey - Convey hasn't been good this year, but Hunt has. Hunt, IMO, is far better than Taylor.

As for Cahill, maybe we did go for him, and maybe he just didn't want to come here (too far South, not the best quality black puddings, that sort of thing).
