Pure Speculation - Kitson on loan

by Yorkshire Royal » 31 Oct 2009 23:09

Rumours around Stoke that Kitson will never play for them again following a training ground bust up with Peter Reid. Which admittedly makes me like him more. He's their top scorer and had found a bit of form but was dropped from the bench today and replaced with a unfit Sidibe...

Anyway, we desperately need more options up front so it seems a good loan option...

Yes please, yes please, yes please, yes pleaseeeeeeee.

Newcastle were rumoured to be keen, as were Sheffield United.

For us, WCBAP.

No, but Kitson and Church would. And Kitson is far superior to Rasiak.

hmmm Kitson with a bad attitude, no surprise there then, and no ta, would not have had him back last season either. Sadly got too big for his boots.

I think he would rather chose us over Newcastle Sheff Utd etc purely on that he knows that club and probably doesn't want to see the club go down so he would help us out if needed, wouldn't mind seeing him back as someone said earlier that he and church would would work and kitson > rasiak.

There is the case that you should "Never go Back" Kits didnt really do much here when he came in on loan, although, he was going through the "horses ass/ barn door" theory. Wait till January and Kits will sign for Fulham and then we will take Zamora.

Thats Zamora whose wages we are nowhere near affording, or paying Fulham anywhere near a decent sum back of the £4m plus they paid for Zamora.

All the shite Kitson's given other footballers over the years.

Acted like a fcukin cnut at Stoke.

Pullis will have destroyed him...

Cannot in any way see this happening.

Even so IF the chance came about I'd happily take him back on loan to give us some options, can't do any harm to have a top quality player on the books

Last season's goal tallies beg to differ.

How about every other season? Kitson is a far superior player and joined us when we couldn't score for love nor money because of woeful supply problems.

Kitson - 98 league goals
Rasiak - 57 league goals

Rasiak - double figures at TWO clubs, let alone seasons.
Kitson - double figures almost every season he's played.

Kitson has been crap since half way through the relegation season. Rasiak has been impressive, IMO, since he came here, more so than Kitson was last season, and I'm not sure I'd take the sulk back.

Blah blah blah. Kitson is still much the better player.

No wonder he struggled in our relegation half season. No wonder he struggled at Stoke to start with given the football they played. No wonder he struggled again with us on loan when we couldn't create even half chances. He still scored more goals than Doyle did for us after Xmas.

I don't care whether you think he'd be a good loan signing or not. He is far and away a better player than Rasiak. End of. Does that mean we should sign him if we get the chance? IMO hell yes, especially seeing as we're actually creating chances now.

The attitude and history would be a very good reason to say no to getting him on loan. Ability is a laughable reason to use.

Not sure I actually said Rasiak has more ability than Kitson, but in the position we're in Rasiak is a better option up front.

I rather think it was where you argued with my statement that Kitson is far superior to Rasiak by bringing out last season's goal tallies.
