A good source from the Spurs camp has informed me that Reading have made an approach to take him on loan for the season. As a player highly rated by the Spurs they feel that a season of regular football is needed as he has only played reserves mainly for the last 2 years and the Redknapp/ Lampard connection has made us Spurs first choice as QPR also enquired about taking him back for the season.
Seems a pefect choice as he is left side and can play on the wing or just behind the lone striker, which seems to be BR preferred choice of format and means we would have a short term replacement for Hunt until a long term replacement is found. The plan is to have everything finalised in time for the Sweden trip.

I think in the scale of rumours of late this must rate as a big fat 2 out of 10 unless it is a swap deal with my old mate going the other way.

He can be a class player. Inconsistent though.

Was due to be in one of the 2 teams fielded by Spurs last night at Bournemouth but did not travel.
Highly rated but club feel a seasons football is the most benifical thing for him at this point in his development.

In the bits I saw of him last season I thought he produced some sublime moments but some bloody awful ones as well. I'm sure he would benefit from regular football.

Hmm, I could see this being a possibility.

Heard this again today from my own source - definitely on the cards - would be a good acquisition.

Would be a good signing indeed. Can he play out on the left? I always thought he was more an attacking midifelder, and my first thoughts were: why sign him when we have Marek?

Different sort of player if you look at a few clips of him - he looks the type to run at defenders with pace and some of his footwork looks sublime.

Source informs me Taarabt meet up with BR on Tuesday and has been given until Friday to make his mind up. He was keen on going to Spain but Redknapp has pulled the plug on that move as he wants to keep the player for the future but he needs to play games to further his development and HR see's the Championship as a better place as it is more physical than La Liga.
