CountryRoyal Dont recall too many teams calling us tinpot after they beat us (apart from South Coast Barcelona)

So many sour grapes

Someone should remind them they've seen the third tier a lot more recently than we have, and no one gives a shit about history apart from deluded nostalgic fans who's current predicament is worse than their past. Boohoo.

Also it's all well and good saying we were quiet, there were 300 of us ffs (obviously in itself not great) I always think Hillsborough is up there with the quietest home supports I've heard, especially considering the numbers they bring in.

In contrast Bramall lane is far louder and a much more intimidating atmosphere.

Thanks for the 3 points guys.

Let's look at the facts to paraphrase a fat Spanish waiter.....

Not played in the top flight since 1999-2000
More recently spent a few years in the Third Division
Have recently spent £10m on one player
Big club but conveniently forgetting a whole decade, the 1970s.

In the meantime we have had two spells in the top flight, as well as seeing Sheffield United in the top flight since they have been "finding themselves" around the Football League lol!

sloughroyal123 £33 pound tickets and 250+ miles on a Friday night from a relatively small club, what were they expecting?

Clearly more than they got.

If history made clubs big, Leeds wouldn't even be one of the biggest in England, their history consists of a few good years in the 70s and then an unexpected title win in the early 90s. Of course by comparison to ourselves it is much better but looking at recent history, we've certainly had the better of it.

They certainly are a club who harp on about their past glories, definitely always hear about the almosts, runners up to Bayern, semi-final to Valencia.

That's almost as cringey as that stupid song Sassima made.

What an embarrassing article !
It has to be tongue in cheek ? Surely ?
Glad to see their idea of 'payback' consists of throwing some plastic bottles and stamping on the odd head rather than anything football related. Presumably because they know that in footballing terms they are very much second rate.

Thing is, Yann was right, we marked Woods out of the game and they offered nothing. For all Monk's talk of a good second half and nobody begrudging them a point, I don't remember them creating anything. They pressurised us but absolutely no end product.

Watching the football league show, it was interesting to hear Neil Redfern come out with the "Liam Cooper's not that sort of player" defence. In fairness to George Reilly, who is a Leeds fan himself, he did come back with "Surely making that sort of challenge does kind of make you that sort of player"

Absolutely, against Sheff Wed we were stupid lucky to win in the sense that Al Habsi had to make a string of good saves, he didn't have to do any of that against Leeds yesterday, they were continually attacking but without a decent end product.
