Horsham Royal
Sutekh On the bright side at least our goal difference was utter ***** before we kicked off so however this joke finally turns it out won't really affect anything whatsoever

for the stats gurus ... anyone ever been promoted with negative goal difference?

FFS; and at exactly the same time as well!

Depending on the second half our boys are going to be mentally scarred by this.

This is unbelievable.

Royal Ginger Record defeat was 10-2 against Palace.

Just leaving that there.

Are you referring to Reading 10 Palace 2, back in the late 1940s. You mean our record WIN, not defeat ???

I never condone this but tbh this is getting into refund territory.

Disgraceful.

Winchester Royal 5-0 now. Never in 20 years of watching Reading have I seen us go on at half time having conceded 5 goals.

We have only ever been 0-5 down at half-time in our League history once.

20/09/1997 Tranmere Rovers away, we went on to lose 0-6.

We also conceded 5 by half-time at Doncaster Rovers but managed to score 3 of our own. Lost 5-7.

Going back into our Southern League days, we were 0-6 down at h/t at Home to Millwall 24/10/1896, losing 1-7/

Then we were 1-6 down at Swindon Town 11/09/1909, and went on to lose 1-9.

We were 0-7 down at Preston in the FAC1 game 27/01/1894. We lost 0-18!

Gordons Cumming How can this happen?

Where do these sort of performances come from?

Is it some form of complacency?

It is quite worrying. This could be a very embarrassing result.

This 100%.
I know the championship has a reputation for anybody being able to beat anybody on a given day but this is positively schizophrenic by anybody's standards. Makes no sense whatsoever unless Norwich are just having one of those days where everything you touch turns to gold !

So hard to fathom. I'm baffled.

Apologies, my mistake, it was 18-0 vs Preston in 1894. I'm going to stick my neck out and say we'll be better than that.

Maybe in a strange way this will help focus in the last 5 games.

We'll probably win the rest. :D

We won 3 on the trot before being beaten 4-1 at Brentford
Then won 4 on the trot before being beaten 5-0 at Fulham

3 wins on the bounce before 4-0 at Man U
at least managed a draw at Ipswich after 3 wins

3 on the bounce before today ....
