Rashford still has an awful lot to prove for me. Contrary to what everyone else seems to think, I just don't see him that much further ahead than other youngsters they have brought through that end up leaving like Macheda etc. Maybe I ain't seen enough of him though.

double d Think it's more of shock he went to man United for me. Good signing..... guarantee 30 goals I think and Rashford will thrive from him. I think they will win the league now

Nah United's squad is too top heavy. They need to invest in the defence before they are proper challengers IMO

Really.

Who are Chelsea linked with? Who are Arsenal linked with? Who are Tottenham linked with? Who are Man Utd linked with?
If they had more than 1 interesting and realistic transfer rumour I'd happily talk about them.
Nobody cares about City so of course nobody is talking about them.

Chelsea are linked with Lukaku and Tiemoué Bakayoko
Arsenal have agreed to sign Sead Kolasinac
Spurs have been linked with Gylfi,

Sources tell me "no deal reached" between @everton and @ManUtd for Romelu Lukaku. Reports of £75m fee agreement "incorrect."

Everton apparently told to stump up £40m for Gylfi Sigurdsson.

What's the current highest transfer fee for an ex-Reading player? Long from Hull to Southampton (£12m)?

Iheanacho from man city on the verge of 21 million move to Leicester. Really good signing for them that is..... 1 goal every 3 games from pretty much the subs bench, only 21 and a raw talent.

ROFLangers buy dorrans from norwich.

Real Madrid bought a player from athletico Madrid for the first time in God knows how long

Anyone recall the last time Liverpool and ManU last directly bought/sold a player between each other ?

A quick Wiki check tells me it's 53 years.

I thought that maybe it coincided with Liverpool's spell in the 2nd Division where the rivalry was maybe dampened slightly but a check tells me that Liverpool won the league in 1964 and United came 2nd.

9th May
Winston Biscuit Theo Hernandez apparently on his way to Real Madrid for €24M rising to €35M. That also brings an end to the long standing agreement in place between Real Madrid & Atletico Madrid that they will not transfer players between the clubs. Spanish media reporting that Atletico contacted Barca once the bid came in and offered him to them for less but the player rejected it and would only join Real Madrid.

Reported that RM met the buyout clause so that AM had no say in whether the player left or not then RM gave AM an extra €6M on top as a sweetener to help keep the relationship in place as there is an agreement that they do not transfer between clubs

75 million for one of the finest young strikers the premier league has ever had.
- 104 goals in 184 starts
- Evertons record premier league goalscorer despite just 4 seasons at the club
- 5th on the list of all time club goals before the age of 23
- 1 of 4 players to score 80 premier league goals before the age of 24
- Second on the list of premier league goals since 2012
He's well befitting the fee.

If he is the difference between man United not winning the league and winning it (which he could well be) he will be worth it deffo

Most importantly he played successfully under Martinez for most of that time.

Wolves' awful transfer policy continues. 15.5m deal for Ruben Neves from Porto. He was captaining them in the champions league at 18. Clearly a good player but you don't leave Porto for a championship club unless you're getting paid a lot of money.

I think that's getting carried away a little with the stats.

I'm happy to be proved wrong on this but it seems goals are a lot easier to come by these last three or four seasons as defending seems to be a dying art form so I'm not sure he's one of the finest young strikers the league has ever had. Don't get me wrong, he's certainly effective, yes, and a very good player to boot, but I'm just not totally convinced by him.

As for this being good for Rashford, I can't see this being a very helpful signing for his development at all. Mourinho will surely stick to one up top and Rashford, as a pacey centre forward who stretches teams who runs at and behind them will be in direct competition for a place with a player the manager has just spent £75m on. I can't see him getting a great of a chance to play through the middle (he may well get shunted out wide again).

There are a few reports about that Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be joining a Premier League team on loan this season in order to actually play some proper games of football.

About time really. He's 21 now and probably should've been in a first team for 2 or 3 years and have 150 appearances to his name judging by his ability and potential (and his bank balance I guess).

It sounds like Southampton are favourites to get him but I hope he just gets on with his career now and develops into the player he has the potential to be, wherever that may be.
