Sam Smith or Jon Dadi Bodvarson

by linkenholtroyal » 12 Sep 2017 15:01

Jon Dadi Bodvarson did not look convincing against Bristol and Sam Smith is scoring goals for fun for the U23s.

If we are going to play with a front 3 who would you start down through the centre against Brentford?

I like Jon and think he has potential. But he does blow Hot and Cold so for this reason I pick Sam to give him a chance before Yann is back.

JDB has played one effing game in front of the home fans, it`s sickening he`s being dismissed off by many after 90 minutes.

Is pretty ridiculous though - so far he has played through injury at QPR before having to be subbed. Come back from injury and scored at Brum and then had a bit of mare.

Lets give the guy a few more games before we right him off huh?

Not sure we're in a position to write him off. We've not got a lot of other options.

I'm hoping last Saturday was an off day.

Let's chose between a player many might have seen once and a player many have never seen at all in a proper first team game....
And while we are at it why not extend the list of options to include Mendes and Loader, plus one that says we don't actually need to play a no 9...

Smith has potential I think, but the couple of games I've seen he is still a little way off being considered. A strong season in the U23s and he may become an option, and use him where possible in the cups etc

Dadi completely fluffed a couple of good chances, but otherwise his play sounds like it has been pretty good.

I can't believe anyone defective enough to think anything other than Bodvarsson is capable of logging on to the internet and completing a poll.

Mendes is miles worse than both of them.

"Daddy Cool" did well at Birmingham. He didn't do too badly v Brizzle either aside from his unfortunate comedy moments which happen to strikers from time to time in games.

At the moment I have to say definitely Jon as he is an international and carries a lot more experience. Of course that may change if the "comedy moments" take on Vydra proportions.

Really been impressed with Sam Smith though and would like to see him involved at every opportunity possible - would like to have seen him on the bench Saturday as a different option to yet another ****** winger/midfielder (and would certainly have made more sense than the ridiculous moving of Aluko into the centre. Hoping he certainly gets some part of the game v Swansea next week.

Thought in the cup Smith was very anonymous - it's a lot to throw on him at this satge.

Bodvarsson has had two games where he's been fine, scored once and one poor game. Wouldn't write him off yet.

This... don;t forget he was man of the match against Birmingham with a great display and a goal. If you take away his misses in front of goal against Bristol (which were truly shocking) in general he didn't have a bad game, movement was good , held the ball up and knocked it down well. I bet he is busting to try and make it right on Saturday.

Seen JDB twice
QPR away and Brizzle at home.

One is not impressed. Made Pog look like Neymar

"It's ridiculous sacking de Boer after he's only managed four games! He should be given time."

"we should stop playing our striker who has only played 3 games and scored more than Palace!"
