Snowball Yes we lack confidence, and nothing is running for us ATM, but there is real quality in the team and, providing the confidence doesn't plummet, we will come good, and we'll put five or six on a couple of the bottom-half teams. If we lose to Leeds and Sheffield, I guess Stam could get the chop, but after today, I hope not. We came up against a VERY good Championship team today, a team with a smattering of class, Premiership experience, and a solid system, a team who played the perfect away game for their fourth straight away win. We will play worse and win games.

I hate to agree with you but the same thing could be said of Bristol, Brentford, Hull and Millwall. We just aren't getting the results, they were worse teams. Last season we were winning those games, this season we're losing or drawing them. I think it's more team selection and tactics than confidence. You don't start a home game after not winning for a while, with no striker.

Snowball 6 Blackett. Decent with some great touches

WTAF?? It looked like a fan had won a competition to be in the starting XI.

PieEater Why do people bother debating some random scoring. It's not like it's some official system where Beerens stats are 4 or 7 FFS.

Someone offers some opinion on how players performed, if you don't agree with it either post your own scoring or return to your sad life with your own private score.

3/10 for that post m8

Hound Snowball, agree Norwich played the game well and looked a solid team. Standard away performance of go goal up, put ten behind the ball and leave an impressive Jerome to cause trouble up front

But as way as a comparison, Boro had something like 20 shots on goal against them in midweek, and they are playing pretty sh1t, where we managed 6 I think it was

Boro lost, Norwich won

and technically 1-2 is better than 0-1

RG7Fan
Snowflake Royal Decent first half much improved on Hull, but still with some terrible decisions and passes.

Must remember Norwich have a very capable defence.

Mannone 6 not in AAH's league
Gunter 2 utter shit. More positive but gifted Norwich the ball dangerously loads. Soft shite
Blackett 3 his awful passes were the right idea, just awfully executed or with no teammate in the right place.
Moore 7 good game and goal. Jerome is a handful
McShane 7 great positive passing early on
Berg 6 usual mix of bite urgency and big mistakes
Kelly 6 ok
Bacuna 6 improved on Edwards
Aluko 6 typical no end product
Beerens 7 actually won and held dup some balls but needs Bod on to feed
McCleary 4 he's two injuries beyond the good forward we used to have. RWB/RB now please

Bod 6 ok
Barrow barely touched the ball
Richards not up to it yet, ok cover

View from a Leeds pal who hates Reading and Stam: "you were actually alright, just hard breaking Norwich down"

Beerens a 7 - did you actually watch the game or did you give him that because you saw it on the back of his shirt? He was carp, why the hell he was left on and Aluko and GMac taken off is anybody's guess.

Clearly not....Kelly 6?......he was appalling. Passed the ball to the opposition countless times.

Didnt think we were as bad. Still not very good, still lost. 11 players not currently playing as a team.

If you say so. You asked for people who didn't agree to put up their own rating, so I did. Resorting to rude name calling because you don't agree only goes to show you've lost the argument.

I didn't comment on the score, I was referring to this stupidness.

You don't have to post if it bothers you that much, its not compulsory. I'm happy with my comments and assessment of Beerens, he was awful today.

First half we were ok. As in not great but not terrible. Slightly more attacking intent. We at least got back into the game when 1 down.
Second half we were dreadful. Just dreadful. How Macleary and Beerens finished that game I do not know. They contributed nothing. Aluko at least tried to create something.

This style of football is at its core totally negative. The idea of Stam's approach is to wear out the opposition by getting them to run around after the ball and then beat them in the last 20 minutes.

Not constant possession looking to overrun teams with attacks. No, holding onto the ball in a war of attrition.

This style of football is killing us. The team look totally lost.

Mannone was poor. He didn't have that much to do. His positioning was horrendous for the first and he flapped at the cross for the second.

Kelly is trying to do too much and comes across as a bit frantic and headless.

Blackett can't run, can't stop a man and can't play a simple pass.

Beerens may as well not have been there.

McCleary was anonymous in the first, but coming alive when he was sadly subbed.

Moore was very good.

McShane was solid except for the time he was outpaced, outmuscled and outthought by Jerome.

Players were getting angry at each other. Not a great sign.

The rest were fine. Never mind, you win some you lose some.

Really?! Pundits reckoned wall and he were set up dead right for the free kick and it was just a great free kick.

Don't think the corner was placed anywhere near him for the second, so not sure how he could have flapped at the cross. Central defenders and Blackett were at fault there.

.....the usual, them forgetting who the customers are?

Or just pi55ed off with losing? (again)

Me? I tend to turn up to watch the football, not the platitudes and niceties of acknowledgement from the well-paid mavericks

Not true. Bodvarsson came up to us in the ED stand. We applauded him.

It's not his fault the manager doesn't think we need to play with a striker.
