Voting for Wolves is stupid even if you're a Wolves fan, the season isn't even halfway through!

Sutekh
strap Well the 13 wins from the start of a league season is safe for another year after only 6 games.

Only just thanks to Everton in City's second game of the season!

No ‘only just’ about it ! It’s an absolute and they didn’t win half as many a season we did !
Remember we ‘only just’ didn’t win 14 on the trot.....

Gonna be bold here and say the record won’t be beaten for a long time, Wolves aren’t worthy of our record, they’ve already lost more than our 106 side did all season. Teams tend to slow down over the festive period and that long gruelling April, their strength in depth really isn’t that impressive imo

So City just fell 12 games short then? Real squeaky bum time there!

Nameless We didn’t really hit form until about this time in our record season!

On December 3, 2005, we beat Luton 3-0 to go 4 points clear at the top with 53 points, as our 21st match unbeaten and 6th straight league win in a run of 10, scoring at least 2 in each game. Then we really hit form! :)

Wolves might get close to that...

Not if they can't beat a side in the bottom 3 and who only had 10 men for half an hourWolves averaging 2.29 points per game - 105 points at that rate

If Wolves win their next 2 games, it would take them to 54pts at the half way mark. They would have to match that in the second half of the season to beat the record. They won't do it.

I like to think that Derby County have a Record Watch thread on their board, where every season they hope that this time someone will beat their impressive record. And every year, no-one even comes close. This season it's early December and the best they can hope for is a tie, even after a very promising start from Crystal Palace.

"11. They've got the record." [Not even enough syllables to make the song scan.]
The worst team in history by a long, long way.

Today's home 0-0 draw v Sunderland sees them drop below the curve. Extrapolate their results to date through to the end of the season and they will finish with 105. However, I would be surprised if they don't drop a higher percentage of the points available in the second half of the season.

+1. Wolves won't beat it. Man city will smash it. Doubt they will lose a game or maybe even draw all season at this r8.

They look pretty damn unstoppable right now, but surely, SURELY they have to drop at least the 7pts more required.

Our record of 60 points by New Year's Day stands. If it is in fact our record.

Wolves up to 61 points from 26 played now = 2.346 points per game.
46 points from 20 games needed to beat our record = 2.3 points per game.

Our record on 1st January 1986, prior to the home game against Gillingham (which we lost 1-2) was P24 W20 D2 L2. 62 points is the same as City, but they have done it in two games less. However, we were NINETEEN points clear of Walsall in second.
