Straight red? How many games does he miss for that? Leaving us a bit short of cover at the back again.

Hound Idiotic from Bacuna but a great set of results elsewhere, could barely have gone better. 3 points at home on saturday should see us safe pretty much

+1
Only other thing to say was first half performance was pretty gd, look a much better side under clement.
Anyone else realised if we win Saturday and Bolton beat Barnsley we pretty much relegate Sunderland,

Sutekh Great night in most ways. Bacuna being the idiot this week and now misses the Sunderland game.

Burton and Sunderland now more or less gone.

19 Reading 42 - 42
20 Birmingham 42 - 40
21 Bolton 42 - 39
22 Barnsley 41 - 37
23 Sunderland 42 - 33
24 Burton 42 - 32

The Sunderland game is absolutely immense for Reading. If ever there was a MUST WIN game that is it, anything else doesn’t bear thinking about.

For Sunderland it's certainly must win. For us, we could cope with a draw or even a loss of other results go our way, although a win would be very nice indeed.

Despite the defeat we are a step nearer safety with a really tough game out of the way. Beat Sunderland and I reckon we will be safe.

We certainly seem more resilient but barely threatened tonight. The lack of shots under Clement is extra ordinary. Will there be any manager in history who after four games in charge will have more sending offs than shots on target?

We had better prey that the team that murdered Derby a couple of weeks back don't turn up.

I think that last minute equaliser will totally knock any remaining spirit out of them

Unless they score early against us, they’ll get desperate pretty quickly. And they are just a poor side as well. Confident we’ll finish the job, but even a draw would be useful for us

I think we need the win. A draw keeps us very much involved especially if Barnsley beat Bolton.

We wouldn’t be safe with a draw of course, but 4 points + GD clear of Bolton with 3 left should be enough

From the BBC website
Fulham go second, eight points behind leaders Wolves, with a 1-0 victory over 10-man Reading.

How long were we down to 10 men

It's all clear now, Bacuna got himself sent off so the headlines would make the 1-0 loss sound more impressive.

Good job Ipswich have no say in the relegation battle (till the last game of the season) as Mad Mick has left the club

Bolton still have to play Burton and have Forest at home. A possible six points there for them.

And Barnsley’s game in hand is at a Forest side who haven’t scored for 6 games, let alone won.

Yep. That five point gap is reassuring but a Barnsley win makes everything seem so much tighter. Thank God Brum have lost their momentum and Bolton are dropping like a stone.

I think they will lose at Barnsley they are then home to Wolves , it`s conceivable we could only need 3 points to stay above them, their GD is shocking
