3points Apparently Edwards was quoted last season talking to Wolves fans that he has such a high tackle count because his first touch is so bad that every second touch is a tackle. Sounds an ideal replacement for Struggle Pig

I have heard it described that Danny had the first touch of a rapist (apologies in advance if anyone is offended by the analogy).

But hopefully Edwards can drive the team forward like our departed Struggle Pig did. I think it is what the team is missing the most right now.

however he gets on when he is on the pitch, he seems to be about the nicest footballer out there

not seen anything other than lovely things said about him.

Get your point, but tbf, as a rule we've over-achieved when our players are all nice guys who will run into brickwalls for each other.

As opposed to a bunch of overpaid undercommitted loanees, who wouldn't understand the word "team" if they spent an entire season staring at it.

That doesn't mean they can't have a bit of bite on the pitch, Edwards certainly does. But we don't do well with prima donnas.

oh its definitely a good thing. the team spirit last year was exceptional, and its just good for the general feel of the club

They all seem pretty nice lads from the small times I've spoken to any of them or other people's anecdotes about meeting them

He's a good player. He was called 'Dangerous' Dave as he had a tendency to get on the end of crosses in the box - a right place at the right time type player.

Watching him for Wales tonight. Looks as expected, quite mobile, reasonable tackler.

Pretty tough job on his hands up against Alaba. Doing ok though

He played very well in the end - like the look of him

HRK looked very handy as well tbf, despite some ropey decision making. Playing like that he'd work a treat in our side. Such a shame he rarely did

They picked him out on R5L as the best player on the pitch in the first half.

Although looking back through this thread, a lot of people were pretty happy with the signing.

File under - good intentions, shame it didn't quite work out.

:D :D :D

The one that got me is he had the temerity to grovel on social media after getting sent off at Villa. I am quite sure we could have parked the bus all game and got a point with 11 men on the pitch, but instead n big games where we need results and we have players doing things like that. Someone must take responsibility for these atrocious signings!

Well as pretty much everyone this season was sh:t, it's very hard to say. Maybe with good management, he can turn the corner next season. Maybe.

I thought he was alright to be honest. Some poor games, some decent. If I was to rank our midfielders based on performance this season it would probably be:

Kelly
Bacuna
Edwards
Evans
Berg
Swift
Aluko

This is nothing more than damning him with faint praise of course.

Very odd you dig up an age old thread to have a go at one player who was no worse then the others in a garbage season.

Why single out Edwards when there was no cohesive unit in midfield all season.

That’s a real roll call of shame

God, we were shit in midfield this year
