One of the greatest......... Can't believe we didn't reach a semi at least with the team he was in at his peak.

Aye, it is just tiresome and boring now.

I'll still waiting for them to give up on that claim joke, but no... they just keep persisting...

TBF when he claimed that goal it was pretty embarrassing, he deserves any pelters he receives

No issue with him being captain mind, it's not like you need to be bright to do it is it? You just have to remember the pennant and that it's heads or tails yeah?

And shout at appropriate times

He was the highlight to be fair. Cannot believe he has managed to stay married to that miserable fish Posh Spice all these years.

Apparently the opening game of the 2018 World Cup is about as bad as you can get team wise as the worst team at the finals on current FIFA rankings (Russia) take on the second worst team at the finals on FIFA rankings (Saudi Arabia).

Bet it’s a corker though....

Going to stick a tenner on the Saudi's in this one. I think Russia are going to have a stinker this summer.

Weird, really weird.

Hard to criticise the decision too much though, they definitely know what they are doing when it comes to being successful at major tournaments.

Yep, this. But, Julian Brandt over Sane? I don't get it.

Can only think it is an attitude thing behind the scenes that we don't know about. Sane is a bit of a party boy I think, perhaps Low doesn't like that. Can't be on ability, Sane is streets ahead of Brandt.

SIGH

but fundamentally flawed with, iirc, Rooney out with a foot injury 6 weeks before the first game and Owen with a broken foot. Sven essentially picked a squad with one fit, first team striker.

Good one.
