The Local Journo Thread

by Old Man Andrews » 15 Jun 2018 10:47

Rather than turn every rumour thread into a conversation about the ineptitude of the local media please feel free to use this thread to comment on the ineptitude of the local press.

Has Anthony "Smudger" Smith ran out of phone battery?

Has Courtney Friday abused Thames Valley Police for having the nerve to do their jobs?

Has Jonathan Low realised that the 4 people in his webchat are there purely to take the piss?

Please feel free to link everyone to their articles so we can pick them apart.

BREAKING NEWS FROM COURTNEY FRIDAY:

"Been off for a few days.. All gone very quiet of the Reading FC front. Working on getting a couple of exclusive interviews over the next couple of weeks".

It is a young lad from what I can gather. Of the fan run accounts it is one of the better ones.

Yeah TalkReading is good. Not a journo account, more of an aggregator, sometimes posts news I miss, and some good stats.

Anyone know who @ElmParkRoyals is? He does post-match Periscopes which I find quite amusing and almost insulting as I've never seen him at a game in my life. He isn't a supporter. As his views would convey.

I did find it funny that he actually got someone to run his Twitter account while he was on holiday. Come on mate, pretty sure no one would've noticed if you hadn't posted for a couple of weeks.

Ah, Paul. He's not that bad but his periscopes are cringe. I don't know why he aims the camera up at himself like he does. He's a Dolan Stander.

see HITC have picked up the Swift thing. Thought for a minute there may be something in it, until I saw them referencing the chronicle as their source

Am I oxf*rd. When I'm standing in the pissing rain at Hull away next to a load of weirdos under blankets I find it insulting that people claim or question support. He's not a supporter, he's a busy-body with absolutely no football knowledge.

He's got to go.

I've always found the Tilehurst End ones to be really dull and tedious. Haven't listened to Paul's, is it more comedic?
