I was led to believe it was virtually a totally changed side from their previous game.

It was. For Carabao Cup game, Brum made 10 (ten) changes to starting lineup from previous league game. (And then, for next league game, they made 8 changes to starting eleven from the cup game).

All 7 subs they had from the previous game started against us.

Grass is always greener syndrome. Everyone is always miles better than who we have playing. Until they play. Hence the Popa will be our saviour stuff amongst many others.

FOUR

That’s true, as long as you don’t count the fifth game the club have won in 2018.

Although ideally I'd like an entirely different midfield

The only reason this shouldn't be our lineup every game is because Barrow is our best player - seeing as we don't have him, it's a no brainer. Except it won't happen.

yeah don't mind that line up too much. Don't think I'd want Blackett and Richards both in though, don't think either are particularly good.

Apparently there is a chance Barrow might make the game tonight

If so...

Mannone
Yiadom
Ilori
Moore
Blackett
Sims
Meyler
Bacuna
Barrow
Bodvarsson
Baldock

Would give 5 players beginning with B, wonder what record is for a starting line up with players names starting with the same letter.

I wish Hound wouldn't keep on about how f*****g great some of our players were against Birmingham.
For the record, their starting eleven for that game contained just ONE solitary player from their previous fixture.
I would hope that some of our players might look good against Birmingham reserves otherwise we might as well resign ourselves to Div 1 football next season.

As for tonight I will be watching on Sky and hope to see a performance.
Clement and Meyler both talked the talk after Saturday's game so let's hope for better than we have seen this season and , just as important if not more so, a point or three.

Jeez. Same back four with Ilori not even in the squad. Barrow and Sims on the bench. Bacuna comes in for Meyler. Bodvarsson in for McNulty. Swift drops to the bench. Aluko back instead of Swift. Underwhelmed. Is Ilori injured?

Who knows? Can only assume so. Was convinced PC wouldn’t keep the same back 4

Best I can say about the side is at least we have options on the bench. Going to be a long evening I think

Genuinely surprised you fell for that from our resident troll

I should have known better but nothing surprises me about the frailties surrounding our squad
