Vision It's one result against truly top level opponents so we shouldn't get too carried away but what was pleasing was that you can see there are plenty of areas to improve on and that this side is young enough to develop in those areas.
Cautiously optimistic about the future.
Agree with the rest of your post Vision, but especially this bit. I'm generally a pretty optimistic England fan and last night was an exceptional result, especially coming from such a young team, but I do think there's been a little bit of an over-reaction on how well we played. In the same way, I think there was a bit too much negativity on the performance against Croatia.
3-0 at half time in Spain is undoubtedly excellent, and you don't fluke that, but we were probably lucky not to concede a couple of times before went ahead. Sterling's finish, and the build up to it, was quality though and those moments change games, perhaps even careers, and after that and an excellent second it becomes a different proposition.
I think special mention should be made for Kane too. He's not looked his best for a while but last night, without scoring, he looked much better and was involved a lot more. Whether that's because of tactical changes or things just went for him I don't know, but it was good to see him involved and lot more and looking more dynamic with it.
Very promising stuff all round.
