Match thread Bournemouth (A)

by seanboyd_2 » 21 Oct 2014 19:10

Well here is hoping for 3 points tonight!

Team:

Fed, Gunter, Obita, Hector, Pearce, Norwood, Akpan, Robson-K, Coxy, Mackie, Blackman.

On paper it is a decent team, we will probably miss Murray but Blackman has been in good form so he could bag some goals.

Thoughts?

Federici
Gunter, Hector, Pearce, Obita
Mackie, Akpan, Norwood, Blackman
Cox, HRK

?

Murray injured and Pog doesn't start? Well he's not wanted then.

Rather lacking a focal point up front. Stronger in midfield if the mediocre Akpan turns up, even worse if the atrocious one does. We'll find it harder to score but might defend slightly better.

ManchesterRoyals Whats up with Murray?

Heard he has a niggle. He should be fit for saturday apparently.

I am surprised we are not starting 5 in midfield tonight. I can't help but worry we will be overrun in the middle of the park.

He has picked up a knock but nothing serious and will be back for Saturday.

I think we will struggle to get goals tonight also, que Reading scoring 4 or 5 :P I wish haha.

It will be another 4-2-3-1 formation. Problem is the same as the weekend. It will feel like a 4-2-4 with insufficient defensive cover from the front four.

Murray clearly did his hamstring just after the triple substitution and struggled on with it for the rest of the game.

Not looking forward to this

It does not look a good team on paper to me, it looks shocking. I'd rather see Pogrebynak start at least

As I said, it's hugely telling Pog isn't starting IMO.

And lets face it, it's not like he's done anything to justify a place this season. Although neither has HRK.

No but Gunter's gone down in their box and we've got a corner. Probably the best we could hope given it was Gunter forward.

We sound threatening but not punishing them. Coming next, a Bournemouth goal from a defensive mistake.

We are looking positive for sure but we need to get something before we concede a goal, we all know its coming, Reading bossing the game.. defensive mistake, go in 1-0 down. Come out second half push hard create chances, concede again and 2-0 down then forcing the game 3-0, 4-0 and so on.

According to BBC we have had 7 shots to their 0. Not sure how that fits in with Feds reportedly making a one on one save.

Not sure I heard anything about Feds making a save. Possibly cutting out a cross.

Apologies it was the Facebook lot who claimed it was after Pearce fouled up with a suicidedly short headed back pass.
