I am not surprised the attendances are low, why should people turn up when the arse stains representing their club don't? Absolute piss take who don't deserve the career they have. Fcuker's should be kneecapped.

Kitson is spot on. As is Bristol Royal this team has got less and less fit. They struggle to maintain a decent 20 minutes of any intensity. Second half they’re sluggish, generally petering out.

The one exception was the game before Clement was sacked where they finished strongly.

This team is unfit and lacks any professionalism. These second half performances are disgraceful.

Thinking about it now, I’d rather we dropped Loader and Rinomhota immediately as they will pick up the appalling lack of professional pride that is ingrained in this team.

We are going to need their lack of cynicism next season in division one.

We finished strongly against Ipswich (equaliser), Leeds (missed pen), Stoke (equaliser) and to an extent Wigan (best chance in last 5)

Not sure fitness is the issue tbh

Leeds penalty was massively against the run of play. We were dead on our feet second half.

Ipswich were Ipswich who are worse than us.

Stoke as I pointed out was the exception. And yet we were totally sluggish from the off second half only perking up for the last 15.

Fitness = focus.

We play like we’re going for a stroll. No intensity and no physical or mental strength.

The Leeds pen wasn’t against the run of play at all. The last 15 were the best we played all match

Though compounded by hopeless team selection. Two right wingers to go with two right backs. Failing to play most experienced strikers available.

Rotherham away next followed by Middlesbrough. Honestly can’t see more than a point at best from that and that’ll be hard enough as with the current defence it’ll mean having to get at least one shot on target to get anything.

Injuries can be a right bastard on the results, look at Leeds united few first teamers out .

Coaching has been a weak link, all driven from the manager, I really think we missed Steven Reid last season and a modern first class coach this, maybe Clement was doing both, the squad is poor, you can online shine a turd so much. Just hope the board get it right.

Agree re Steven Reid... also look whats happened at Palace since he left there

The coaching has been poor. We constantly play the ball across our own penalty box which is an accident waiting to happen. Our keepers roll the ball out to players who are already marked. In addition how often do our central midfielders win headers from keeper clearances?
Positioning is also a big problem. Ilori gets caught out far too often with balls over the top.

It’s basic stuff and they keep failing at it.

I forced myself to watch this inept bunch last night.

Not sure whether fitness is a real problem but everything is done at a slow pace when in possession. Nothing is done instinctively with flair, at pace. Any half decent defence is well drilled enough to see what is happening in front of them - if done at pace there’s a chance they could be caught out and opened up. When it is is all done slowly and predictably it can quite easily be snuffed out.

Hence no shots on target.

If the Portuguese guy was watching that game yesterday on SS, Im sure he will be thinking seriously about whether he wants the unenviable challenge in front of him..nothing there to sell him the job for sure

You would think the other teams at the bottom are looking at us and Ipswich and saying they are gone, just one place to play for now..

This has been a problem for a long time. We are incapable of breaking at pace so the opposition always have time to regroup. Our passing isn’t good enough. There were times yesterday when the pass went behind the player who had to check back to control the ball meaning momentum was lost. Too often there are not enough players moving into space to offer options for the player on the ball. Our movement is terrible.

Given that only four points seperates us from 18th, and we're not even half way through the season, I very much doubt anyone is thinking is.

Not yet they won’t.

Might well be next week though if this lot lose at Rotherham.

I agree with all of this. This team has a number of unresolved structural issues highlighted in this and previous threads, poor fitness is one of them.

The new manager needs to start again of that I’m now convinced.

Maybe a young hungry coach with good ideas, clear way of playing with decent managerial experience under his belt?

We might have to accept relegation.....

Just looking at the Sky highlights and once again we are woeful defensively. I didn’t realise our marking and positioning was that bad at the game. Ilori the wrong side of McGoldrick in the first half and gets caught out by a punt downfield. Sharp completely unmarked for a free header inside our penalty box with no defender in sight. Sharp unmarked to tap in with Yiadom nowhere near him.

We are in a hell of a mess. Up until yesterday I was reasonably confident we would stay up. Not now. We look every inch a side destined for the drop.

You have missed the performances before Clement took over.

To be fair to Stam you could see what he was trying to do.....introduce a style of football that in its first season got us to third but once we got found out he had no plan b. That was his limitation as a manager. With Clement, I have no idea what he was trying to achieve. We were screaming out for a left back this summer, so he buys another right back. With Clement is was mistake after mistake. Shocking selections and no idea how to break teams down.

No idea how to break teams down?

Yesterday was more like a Stam performance than Clement. We were regularly utterly toothless up front under Jaap and it was a regular complaint we had no shots on target. And that was with his first choice attack! By contrast we were regularly scoring goals under Clement. We're joint 14th on goals scored ffs.

This only tells half the story. How many teams have conceded more goals than us? We have been a defensive shambles under Clement

A sudden upturn in form (anything can happen in this league) and we're out of it.

What a moronic thing to even suggest anyone is 'gone'.

Easy tiger.

WR is just expressing an opinion on what other teams might think.
