Would rather not, would prefer either more pace or more end product.

Really not sure about this one and sat on the fence!!! Their is a good player there and he did score 7 scores with 4 assists but most of his best stuff came early on in his loan with the second loan period he was bang average at best!!
The good thing is he is age, at 22 he clearly has time to improve and on a free it really isn't a risky move.

If I had 0 fingers I'd still be able to count on one hand how many times he attempted to beat a man last season.

I think there's potential there, we saw it in the build up to Christmas. Clearly fits in the dressing room too. I think this could turn out to be a useful move.

I did see him go past someone once last season and that was one more time than Camara went past anyone.

A frustrating player last season but had his moments and at 22, still has room for development. A yes from me.

Knows the club, knows the player, was also previously on loan at Wycombe under Couhig’s tenure there so is presumably well known to Jacobsen too. We know what we’ll get which may well be better for the squad balance and unity which is the most important thing.

If he continues to improve then why not? Be interesting to see if Reading pull this stunt with other PL youngsters.

Though we're seeing the flip side with the Savage rumours. If we'd been in a position to pay £500k and have a 20% sell on clause instead we'd ultimately be in a better position (we had no choice with Savage though).

I guess it's risk vs reward. I can see Campbell as a handy signing but I'd be surprised if we sell him for £2m+, he's got a lot of development to do if he's to be more than a L1 player.

Never looked convincing, but early on had a knack of scoring or creating goals. Never really looked like beating his man and was simultaneously a bit 'safe' and lost the ball a fair bit.

Later on in his spell the goals dried up and he basically contributed little.

Its a no from me. At 22 I think he should be further forward. If he'd started worse and finished better and looked like he was actually improving it would be different.

His play style seemed to change quite substantially once Selles left. Previously, he has been keen to take on a defender and use his pace to pelt forward, whereas under Hunt, he seems to hesitate slightly when he gets the ball. Makes me think he's a bit low on confidence at the moment, but clearly does have talent. Will be interested to see if he joins or not.

Played 76 games totalling 5044 mins at L1 level.

In that time, he is involved in a goal every 336 mins, so once every 3.5 games approximately. That isn't too bad at all and with plenty of time to improve those numbers.

On a free, it is a bit of a no brainer for me. Yes he will disappear in matches occasionally because if he didn't, he wouldn't be playing in L1 or touted for a perm move to a L1 club.

Not sure I buy this "if his output was better he'd be at a higher level argument". You face a lesser quality of defenders who make more mistakes and give you more chances, so a good L1 winger could be in the goal contribution between the 1 in 3 and 1 in 2 games range. I'd they're above this, maybe they belong at a higher level. If they're falling too far below this, they're simply not L1 standard.

Campbell's figures are lower L1 for me, or a squad option for better sides. He's definitely not a reliable option for a side with top 6 ambitions, but that's not saying he can't develop and reach that.

A good pal associated with the Wolves academy said Chem never 100% recovered from his injury last season and that affected his performances.

As a squad member fine. Wouldn’t really want to see him in the starting 11 for our first game of next season though

Interesting - so that would explain the decline in performance - any news on whether he is now completely over he injury?

It would be a yes from me; I think the guy has potential to be a very good L1 player.

In addition, he knows the team (and they know him), and so it is a low risk signing for us (especially if its a free).

How about if you split it by the two loans, or pre and poat injury?

My guess is incredible first period, poor second.

Leaves the RB/RM exposed - plays far too high and doesn't seem to think he needs to track runners.

As for disappearing - he does - in L1 matches not in Championship/Premier ones. So by your logic he should be an OK L2/Conference player?

If Hunt thinks he's got a role in his system, I'm very happy to accept his judgement.

The position he plays is more determined by the manager than the player himself. If he told to stay up high and wide that's what he'll do.

From my viewpoint, he has patches of ten to fifteen minutes of being brilliant, and whole periods of games where he doesn't draw my attention at all. I think that's just what it's like for a winger. If the ball is going down the other side he can't really abandon his position.

I accept he's not brilliant at tracking back and winning the ball back, but this can be worked upon. Kébé went from doing nothing to be being excellent at his defensive duties.

And Hunt obviously values him for what he brings as he played him consistently.
