Home ticket changes

Reading Football Club would like to inform supporters of a number of upcoming changes to the Ticket Office operations, designed to improve efficiency behind the scenes and further support the transition to digital ticketing.

Forwarding or upgrading your Season Ticket
If you’re a Season Ticket holder and cannot attend a home match, you can transfer your ticket to another supporter for the match. You can also upgrade your concession ticket to a higher category if required, with the full process available online. Season Ticket Holders can do this from their online account, with full details of forwarding and upgrading available by clicking here.

Improved Support for Online Purchases
We understand that some supporters may need help transitioning to digital ticketing. Our team is reviewing all online guidance to ensure clear and simple instructions are available, and will also be on hand to assist when queries arise. If you do get stuck, please email sales@readingfc.co.uk for further assistance.

Moving Away from Paper Tickets

Following a review of sales from our recent home fixtures, we are continuing efforts to move towards digital ticketing, the option to purchase paper tickets online for home fixtures will now be removed.

Changes to phone line hours
From Monday 13th October the Ticket Office phone lines will be open between 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday on non-matchdays. The change will allow our members of the Ticketing Team to manage administrative duties and ensure a more streamlined service.

Phone lines to be enquiries only
To manage phone line traffic and further support digital ticketing, please note that phone lines will be available for enquiries only. Ticket purchases should be made online, with the exception of accessibility-related bookings, which will continue to be supported over the phone.

Supporters are reminded that tickets are available to purchase 24 hours a day, seven days a week at ticketing.readingfc.co.uk . Purchasing online is the quickest and most convenient way to buy, and offers supporters a live view of availability in the stadium.

Thank you for your continued support as we work to improve the matchday experience for all supporters. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit https://ticketing.readingfc.co.uk

It will be interesting to see whether they make season ticket holders move over to ST's on phones permanently or if we can continue to use the plastic ST card which still works fine.

Unfortunately, not quite as straight forward for some. I only travel up from the West Country for about 5 or 6 matches per season. I buy a 'print at home ticket' as I do not have a smart phone. I do have a 'member card', can this have tickets downloaded? Or should I just invest in some heavy duty bolt cutters or, a parachute?

You can still use "print at home" as an option having just put a ticket in a basket to double check.

That's grand, thank you. I'll be buying a ticket for the Doncaster game, so hopefully will be ok. Thanks.

Yep, would love to know the split between physical and digital STs. Still seem to see quite a big proportion of plastic cards being used, though mobile is definitely increasing. One of our group's card has stopped working, wonder if they 'disconnect' it once they see the phone version has been used over a number of game.

Still rocking my 150 ST card. 8)

Fingers crossed that remains the same but didn't they say they changes were effective from 13th October, so Monday coming or does that date just apply to the changed TO hours?

You couldn't select to post the ticket so assuming it's just the hours as you mentioned.

I've just bought & printed off my ticket for the Doncaster game on 25th Oct, so I guess it doesn't apply to print at home tickets.
