Re: Explain like I'm five: our FFP crisis

Easy to explain 2WW1WC. A crook who was in charge of UEFA and has been arrested recently introduced a financial system called Financial Fair Play backed by FIFA and some of the biggest clubs in the World. He disguised this financial system as doing good, saying that it was there to make sure clubs ...

Explain like I'm five: our FFP crisis

I obviously know all of this, but on behalf of everyone else I shall pose the question. For a club like us that hasn't really spent much, we don't have massive wage players, haven't splashed out tonnes (apart from donkey Aluko but our net spend can't be that much as we;ve also sold) and have a team ...

Would absolutely love this to be true.

Good move for him too. I think he'll go from strength to strength under Gomes.

I've just found out there's a 16 page pullout next week in the Reading Chronicle about him, following his journey since his illustrious career with us. The foll...

Are we screwed?

Not a negative post, a genuine question as I've been out the loop since the end of the season. I'm hoping I can be reassured. Now we've lost the loan players are we not going to be in trouble? It doesn't look like any of them are staying permanently or for repeat loans. On top of that we're possibly...

Re: Ex Players

Sutekh
Mihailov

I heard he saw a video of the world cup final and it was dubbed with Reading FC commentators pretending it was a low key Reading match, a friendly against Barnet if I remember correctly.

On that basis he came to Reading and shortly after lost his hair when realised he was conned.

Re: RUMOUR - Gomes wanted

Moved Reading from 23rd to 20th. Premier League clubs now want him. Seems legit.  Did a great job turning round our fortunes, though we shouldn’t forget he was supported in Jan better than any other relegation threatened club manager (4 prem players + Nelson) Clubs around us think we bo...

Re: BFT(final)G

Excuse the RTG but we were VERY VERY good Yes I know, nothing to play for etc etc but seriously for the first half I was sitting there wondering if Brum were even on the pitch. Youngsters were fantastic! Never saw Barrett play before. Loader was class not just in the way he attacked but reminds me o...

Re: The Danny Loader conundrum

He'll do fine, just needs a few more games and it'll click for him.

Horrid to say but the double injuries and our now safe position are just perfect for him. Hopefully he will start our remaining two games and build up his confidence.

Re: BFTG - Bristol City

It’s funny but I see it differently to many. I felt we were by far the better team and deserved to win. It’s not necessarily the case that we were amazing but they were very poor (or we made them look very poor). They offered nothing and the equaliser really came out of nowhere. It seems to me that ...

Re: BFTG - Brentford

Ok so there's no question that this was a good performance by some great players under a very good manager and a system that is working. Rino, Eja, Baker all fantastic, as was everyone else. Good deserved win. Back to Eja - it's amazing how a moment of flair from him can suddenly spur us on out of n...

Re: BFTG - The miracle of Carrow Road.

He definitely wasn’t happy under Clement. He really didn’t perform for him at all. Whether that was an attitude issue, or PCs tactics/set up, it’s difficult to say. I’d have happily seen him sold in Jan tbh He has been a real asset in the last 10 games or so. Massively improved, and a lot of credit...
