Re: Use of 084 numbers

Perhaps this would be an opportune moment to post: cheeROFLyoLOLeaROFLy  What's your next crusade? So, the cost of calling an 084 number from a mobile remains more expensive than calling a fixed geographical number.... Nothing has changed apart from some of the 08 numbers becoming free if you ...

Re: Use of 084 numbers

why do bbcb still uses 084 when other parts of the beeb are using 03700 whats the diffrence there It's like the way mobile phone tariffs work. Confuse people with 'choices' so that they find it very difficult to identify the real cost. Oh, and 08 numbers have been getting some bad press recently (S...

Re: Use of 084 numbers

The BBC generates revenue through the use of 0845 telephone numbers You are the editor of the Daily Mail or an agent o Rupert Murdoch AICMFP. Personally, I'm happy to pay the extra few pence for the privelige of having public service broadcasting without adverts. If the charge is fair - and clearly...

"It's the same price as a local rate call from wherever you are in the county/country, and therefore the cost is down to the person's telephone provider who sets the cost for local rate calls. It's usually 1 - 2p per minute. This is wrong. Source: http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumer...

Re: Use of 084 numbers

Sadly, reporting from Zimbabwe is somehat out of my jurisdiction. But well done for getting me to rise to the bait of BBC bashing. As for the 0845 issue...I have an official response from an Reading-supporting engineer no less... "It's the same price as a local rate call from wherever you are ...

Re: Use of 084 numbers

Also, when you report from Zimbabwe, you always include the line "The BBC has been banned from reporting in Zimbabwe, however here's a story anyway". 1. Why do you do this? 2. You are knowingly breaking the law therefore by paying my licence fee, I am funding crime. Please stop breaking th...

NWL Royal Wayne Bridge has been spotted in Winnersh having lunch with John Madejski. Either he's signing for us or he's buying a painting

That's either:

Pheasant Inn
Sainsbury's coffee shop
Dragon Inn Chinese
er, that's about it.

Dave the Chinese says no deal therefore I suspect this is bobbins.

I usually get a single there and walk back. Fecked if I'm standing in a queue for more than 5 minutes when I could go for free and get some excercise. Give this man a hand. How far is it from the station to the ground....... 3 miles? At a slow walking pace of 4 miles per hour it will take you 45 mi...

Re: ticket office number change?

I suspect this is a move to continue extracting revenue from telephone callers. Ofcom has finally set out proposals to strengthen consumer protection. Initially this was a consultation paper then in May these were changed to recommendations which should be in place by Autumn 08. The Proposals Nation...

Moan # 1. Waste of money replacing my card just so the word 'season ticket' is removed. so if they didn't send a replacement and you went and sat in your old seat how does the steward know who really has the ticket for that seat in a dispute? Dunno. Maybe the club could sell a 'seat sign' to season...
