Re: BFTT

Puscas is terribly slow. And some of his passing was horrific but he showed good signs of a partnership with Baldock , scored and showed movement throughout. I'd take that as a major positive. So far this season there's been little sign of the any front two pairing building any sort of partnership....

Ranty McRantface Harsh on Pele so I can only assume he has a knock. The others were expected.

Rino was due to start on Saturday.

Re: CONFIMRED - Mark Bowen

Perhaps that's what endeared Bowen to the owners. Very honest down to earth individual.

Re: BFTG Preston (H)

the worst bits were Bowen's clueless goal kicks where everybody crowded over to the left, so I am agnostic on whether the change of manager has done anything. Better tactic than tippy tappy at the back which resulted in the team consistantly losing possession in our own half, and inflicting self im...

Re: Rival Watch

PNE started well and looked pretty good at the back. Think they got a bit complacent/ surprised by us being fairly good tbh. Not a bad side, just on a poor day With a new manager they had no idea what our style of play was going to be. Appeared to be set up for a high pressing game. A more direct s...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Queens Park Rangers (a) sponsored by an Ingimarsson header

Rino would have started against PNE, if well. With Pele on the bench. Reckon might see both Rino and Pele start with Ejaria dropping out. Pragmatic approach would be to setup for a draw, Can you imagine a tiring midfield and defence looking over to see old twinkle-toes Ejaria coming on for Pele. Es...

Re: This is Poor

WestYorksRoyal but the games against Cardiff and WBA were excellent under Gomes.

Under Gomes I'm struggling to remember a consistant run of performances from game to game. Never seemed to set-up the team up to counter the opposition's strengths. Yet endlessly tinkered with the starting 11.

Finally a game that was enjoyable to watch. How did Miazga end up in the box to drive home the spilled ball?

Really pleased for Bowen. After what must have been a difficult week for him.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by a new hope

My hope is that Bowen builds a team around a core of players in their natural/best positions. Managers these days seem overly focussed on formations. Resulting in the players lacking any freedom to express themselves or an understanding how they are supposed to play under match conditions. Once the ...

Re: CONFIMRED - Mark Bowen

Don’t know if this was mentioned before but as he’s only contracted till the end of the season will he get the January transfer window? Sorry if its been mentioned already Think that was the contract in place. One suspects an insurance policy. While using Bowen's abilities elsewhere in the club in ...

Re: CONFIMRED - Mark Bowen

Vision but didn't seek his opinion on whether Gomes (whom he'd just been working directly with the past 6 months or so) was capable of turning things around.

Reading his interview this wasn't the case. The decisions made were Gomes. Like isolating Gunter & Co.

Re: CONFIMRED - Mark Bowen

As I posted elsewhere, Bowen has been part of the set-up, a big and important part, already so he has been responsible in part for the signing of players, the retention of players and the way that we play. Only employed in a consultancy role until mid August. Perhaps the owners already had concerns...
