Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

https://twitter.com/BradSRay/status/1769843313664782418 All sounds feasible but naturally could be bollocks. In short, verbal agreement in place on Saturday with Saudi/US lot.. Became clear yesterday that Wycombe were backing out. Parties who had walked away came back with deals as they both want t...

Re: What day will the news break?

Green What a shambles.

Dai has to realise the maximum amount possible to repay his creditors back in China. That's if he's actually in control or whether the Party has steppd in.

Re: What day will the news break?

Why this week? Legal matters take time to resolve. All parts of the deal need to come together at the same time. Far more complex than Dai just signing on the dotted line.

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

Wonder how far we’d be from being self sustainable if we Sold the training ground Sold off Smith, Wing, Knibbs, Savage and Azeez (compensation) in the summer and any academy lads we could Found a cheap training ground Disbanded the Academy Continued to use the SCL which remains owned by Yongge and ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

To be honest, if selling Bearwood to a third party facilitates a sale, I'm not that bothered. It's a financial millstone below the Championship. The incoming buyers might well prefer to invest the £25 million into the football club itself along with new training facilties at a fraction of the cost....

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

Is it possible SBWD and STAR will back a pitch invasion tomorrow in light of the Bearwood fiasco, after all losing another 3 points is probably irrelevant given the fact the owner seems to be now trying to bankrupt the club as quickly as possible (perhaps he has an acca with Paddy Power to hand). H...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

blythspartan Did anyone see SJM’s interview on Meridian TV yesterday? A mate thought he was pretty chilled about Bearwood being sold.

No one else particularly cared about Bearwood before this news broke. SJM may be more concerned about the ground. Without which ........

Re: Sign this to stop Dai Yongge selling Bearwood to Wycombe

Dai should have sold off Bearwood as soon as we were relegated, League one clubs simply cannot afford Cat 1 academies. Easy to say sell but who to? A buyer has now made an approach but their not acceptable apparently. A £40 million facility has a very limited market appeal. You'd imagine that part ...

WestYorksRoyal I didn't realise yesterday morning that Dai has transferred Bearwood to another of his companies, so the proceeds are not going to the club.

Where has Bearwood been transferred to?

Dai, surprise surprise, has transferred it to himself.

Re: Wycombe will be culpable.

We’ve waited months and months for any news of a sale of the club nothing has happened and clearly that’s what dai wants sellling bearwood will put off anyone interested or at best set back the sale back so it’s pretty clear where we are headed The club is rapidly heading towards a financial cliff ...

Re: Wycombe will be culpable.

I always thought we'd be too big to go under but I'm now starting to think we have too much baggage and no prospective owner wants to take that on with the sale of the training ground making us even more unattractive. No business is ever too big to go under. The football club that Sir John built br...

Re: Could Reading Fans buy Bearwood?

Presumably now this sale has effectively saved the club by giving time to complete the overall sale of the club and banishes the fear of not existing in the summer? It depends on whether the money is going to the club, or to Dai. If it's Dai then it's probably game over. Or somewhere else, at least...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

Speaking to someone at the club today and there is real fear now. Even the most senior figures don't understand what Dai and Pang are doing and they can't rule out 'shenanigans'. I know that every course of action seems futile at the moment - but the only thing that has a chance of working is putti...

Re: Could Reading Fans buy Bearwood?

In the June 2022 accounts Bearwood was valued at over £40 million. Cheaper to buy the stadium.

Interestingly the mortage owed of £25/£26 million was fully paid off in November 2023. Someone must have found some money down the back of the sofa !

Re: If a buyer isn’t going to happen, would you rather?

There has to be enough debt owed to people other than Dai for that to be an option. And most of the debt is owed to Dai. There's no way of knowing how Dai funded the venture. Dai's business affairs outside of China all lead back to the non disclosure world of the Cayman Islands. Bearwood was built ...

Re: If a buyer isn’t going to happen, would you rather?

Dai plainly does not have the money to fund the club on an going basis. That leaves another option. 3. The club goes into administration. Dai loses control over events. Relegation to L2. New buyers steps in and fund the rebuild of the club. (Bearwood gets sold as part of the adminstration process)....

I agree but why doesn’t he not just sell up and forget about reading fc forever why just hold on to it putting some good money after bad for nothing? Think that’s the main problem in all of this. No one really knows what his intentions are and why he’s behaving as he is. It’s impossible to be optim...
