Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (a)

Would we have had more faith in Bowen, had we finished say 10th? Or more with Pauno currently? I know it’s a lot of ifs buts & maybes, but it’s interesting to know. I’m far from sold on Pauno...tactically & substations wise. And I had more faith that Bowen knew what he was doing & under...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (a)

Didn’t watch as I want to enjoy my life and if they don’t care why should I, but in the risk of sounding all Ian Royal and making an il-informed opinion, we’re we as bad as the stats suggested? Only saw the first half hour or so but thought we were fine until we decided to try and gift them an equa...

Re: Pauno out

I think the mistake would be in not making a clear headed decision now.The worst scenario is Pauno starting next season and then getting dumped after ten games when we are in trouble.Looking at the list of available managers;there really isn’t much there. However Pauno s team performance over the la...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (a)

We've had plenty of fcuk up seasons, this ain't one. The opening to the season masked where the team really are which is top 10 but not quite play-offs. Those opening games were, in retrospect pretty favourable hence why our run in wasn't quite so. THIS, and if you remove the first 8 games, we are ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (a)

Can anyone recall a loan signing that hasn`t been total dogshit? Can anyone recall such a fcuk up of a season and implosion after the start we had, ie winning our first seven games ! We've had plenty of fcuk up seasons, this ain't one. The opening to the season masked where the team really are whic...

Re: Rival Watch

Derby v Sheffield Wednesday next week has turned out to be a cracking final day tie. Rotherham in the mix to survive too. I would love Rotherham to win at Luton then manage to stay up on the final day whilst Derby and Sheffield Wednesday are condemned to league one  especially Derby since they...

Re: Ups & Downs 2020/21

Can Wycombe stay up? No because their GD is so terrible I actually deleted the bit about GD as Derby went one up at Swansea as I was typing they just need an 11 goal swing on the final day More than that. They need a Wednesday win v Derby. So 1-0 there gives SW a GD 13 better. So Wycombe need to wi...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (a)

But I do think a win next week could be pretty important as far as how the owners view things. Finishing 8th would really not be a good look.

Still wouldn’t make a change myself as no idea what the squad will look like.

Re: Ups & Downs 2020/21

Lost 5-4  If Morecombe win tomorrow the last day is going to be a seriously nervy one for Cambridge fans Got back to 4-4 as well and still chucked it away. Finish at home to relegated Grimsby, so even if Morecambe win today, they should have enough. Bolton can complete a major turnaround and g...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (a)

I wonder if Pauno will try a few alternatives today.Hopefully Norwich will take things easily, and none of their lot will want a serious injury pre Prem start.Otherwise I fear the worst;as our lot are likely to be on the beach. As to alternatives I don’t see a lot of Academy lads banging on the door ...

Winston Biscuit Barca lose at home to Grenada. Title back in the hands of Atletico with 5 to play!

Although Barca are challenging, surely Koeman is under severe pressure there?

Barca v Atletico on the 8th is looking like a massive game.

Now the favourite 8) And promptly signs a new deal with Ajax. Could be just that Spurs have to pay Ajax more for him but hardly screams interest in the job. Romano is saying they met yesterday and Spurs decided against him, for whatever reason They seem to be thinking if they keep asking Brendan Ro...

I reckon Spurs will go for Ten Hag at Ajax

Re: Is the Championship becoming more predictable?

I would suggest if the PP didn`t exist the clubs could manage their own finances better like writing relegation clauses into players contracts. EXACTLY Parachute Payments are the problem. Also if they slowly reduced the gap between Prem and Champ, that might help. A Prem1 and Prem 2 might be the an...

Re: Contract situation at end of 2020/21 season.

#solidarity. Should go 10% to L2 30% to L1 70% to Champ Going to the lower leagues actually helps redress the imbalance the parachute payments make and strengthens the pyramid. If you bounce back it makes the rest of the division stronger, if you don't it helps prevent financial armageddon from rel...

Re: Contract situation at end of 2020/21 season.

The parachute payments go back to the Premier League so they can all have what is essentially a pittance against what they already get. It used to get redistributed to the EFL but they stopped that several years back. #solidarity. Should go 10% to L2 30% to L1 70% to Champ Going to the lower league...

Re: Contract situation at end of 2020/21 season.

Paunovic did not know Tetek before he came to Reading. Tetek was 12 when Paunovic left Serbia and has only started representing Serbia due to Paunovic discovering him at Reading. As for Puscas - I’m not sure why we paid the fee we did, but why would his transfer fee have any impact upon whether we ...

Re: Contract situation at end of 2020/21 season.

I'm torn now.....So want them to screw up the playoffs and get Barnsley or Swansea up. Indeed. Brentford for me, then Barnsley, then Swansea then that south cost lot. I’m sick of Brentford tbh. If they stay down they’ll just be good again Bournemouth could definitely start crumbling if they don’t g...

Re: Ups & Downs 2020/21

Whilst Maidenhead being in the National is a massive acheivement, and they have been more than decent this year, going down would have been something quite impressive.  Agreed. Until someone has the money and is willing to bankroll them as a full time operation then staying in the Nati...
