Re: Rival Watch

Can see Burton winning (though knowing our luck, Carlisle will get a confidence boosting win ahead of the weekend) Charlton losing as will Shrewsbury and Cambridge, Vale & Fleetwood will draw - Cheltenham draw. So we will drop to 17th. 14 - Burton P34 Pts 41 15 - Exeter P35 Pts 40 16 - Wycombe ...

The goal now has got to be to take more than the 1,800 Pumpey took up there.

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Evans is a disgusting creature and a heart attack waiting to happen :| He definitely needs to chill his beans as it can’t do his blood pressure any good. Sometimes you wonder if the antics of these style of manager, bullying the officials all game, works massively against them ultimately. As a fan ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Oxford United (a)

Stranded Looks like Oxford are finding fans going in the home end and cancelling tickets.

Home fans have had weeks to buy tickets, you think they’d be grateful the seats are filled because home fans don’t want them, so long as away fans in home areas are sensible.

Re: Oxford (A)

Oxford fans will be pleased, a crowd of over 10,000 makes them jizz with excitement. I think you’d be fine in the two stands down the side of the pitch in the home ends if you keep yourself to yourself, might have to watch yourself a bit more behind the goal (non car park end) where their more parti...

Re: Confrimed - Abbey and Holmes going

It’s probably tinged with sentimentality that I love seeing Tom Holmes and Tom McIntyre in our team, local lads who were fans before they played for us and how much it must mean to them to play for us, living the dream for us supporters and what that represents. It hurts me more than losing someone ...

Re: Did the protest do what it intended?

For the sake of the Port Vale fans, if it is rearranged and Reading fans are allowed to attend, Can we aim not to cause a second abandonment in the rearranged fixture? Theres no point doing this against Port Vale again. Their fans are on our side. Lets keep them there. I think the game that should ...

edinburghroyal So, this was an embarrassment.

Hit a new rock bottom since the treatment of our club captain Matt Mills.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

That was some of the most fun I have had at a football match. I remember a lot of the supporters were waiting by the Port Vale team bus applauding their players. Martin Foyle was handing out cans of bitter to kids. Great day. And JM looking shaken as the chant, "new ground, no fans" went ...

Re: Oxford (A)

Royal_jimmy Shame the allocation is such a pittance. Next time they come to us we should just give them 1800

When they are mid table next season that will be plenty, they probably won’t even sell out.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (a)

Gilksey was a raw talent for the first 12-18 months. During this time often Instead of running with the ball he would just play it 20 yards in front of himself down the wing and it would be a sprint race between him and their right back, which Gilksey almost always won, roared on by the South Bank, ...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

The bit about football support they haven’t worked out yet is that crowds at clubs go down when the team is not doing so well on the pitch. They can only dream of a 15,000 home crowd so I am not sure why they are wetting themselves about that. They can’t sell out their 12,500 capacity ground when th...

Des Buckingham sounds like the name of a childrens entertainer who should be in jail for historic 80s sex offences. Didn’t realise the young Desmond was in our youth set-up at one time. Who names a child born in the mid 80s Desmond unless they want them to have a tough childhood, vibes of the Johnn...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Carlisle United (h)

I wonder what it's like living in Carlisle. Loads of great countryside nearby so probs gr8 if you've got money and time, but also probs gash if you are young and looking to make your way in life I thought it was surprisingly ok when I went a few years ago. But yeah probably not that much work. Blac...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Pre 90s racism and hooliganism was very much a symptom of wider social problems so if you're going to take a bunch of racist hooligans and shove them in a pen overflowing with piss every weekend for 9 months of the year, they're going to indulge in their favourite past-times. The bigger issue was e...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol Rovers (h)

The Bristol Rovers fans, like the Portsmouth ones, are complaining about not being able to get more than ~2,800 tickets. They're clearly forgetting about the concept of segregation, both externally and internally within the stadium. We'd have to modify our segregation, especially internally to acco...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Portsmouth (h)

The booing at the end was for the referee. He looked like he wanted to celebrate with the Portsmouth players when their equaliser went in, 45+9 when 8 minutes were added on. He was an absolute whopper who wanted to be the star of the show.
