Re: Back from the Game, Northampton Town 24th August

Hoop Blah Who do you suggest plays in this mythical solid midfield?

I think the first choice would remain the same as the end of last season: Tabb, Howard and Sig. Kebe and McAnuff on the wings.

Re: EASY EASY EASY

Oh for real. What was with the chair banging brigade tonight? And I swear to christ I heard a vuvuzela tonight. Oh god - there were some kids down in the front row banging the chairs and some signpost. The best bit was when he stood up (on the opposite side of the N'hamp supporters) and tried to st...

Re: Back from the Game, Northampton Town 24th August

Just blogged my (probably stupid) thoughts on last nights game. http://wp.me/p11mg7-1a

Wicked game for the neutral, eh?
Shame I wasn't a neutral.

Re: Why don't we sell Federici?

A decision has to be made at some point in the near future.
We can't keep 4 good 'keepers and have them all happy.
I think we should sell Federici and Andersen, have Hamer and McCarthy fight it out for the No. 1 spot.
Federici's "International" status will add value to his name.

Re: Forest Home - Predictions

2-2.
Pearce and Mills won't be able to cope with Earnshaw and Blackstock.
Bertrand won't be able to cope with Jimmy Boubou.

Boubou's in top form right now. Ryan has had a horror show start to the season.
Surely there's only one winner?

Re: Back from the game - S****horpe.

No need to overreact - it was the first game.
One game isn't enough to go on and foresee the future.
However, we knew already that we needed another CB.
Church should've started.

Re: Reading v Wolverhampton Wanderers

I might blog about the 4-2-3-1 / 4-4-2 debate at some point, because this is one of the main talking points between Royals fans. As I see it, the combination of Kebe-Sigurdsson-McAnuff-Long/Church cannot be found in any other formation. In this formation, Kebe, McAnuff and Sigurdsson have the freedo...

Re: POLL - What are your expectations this season?

When it comes to attacking, we're one of the best in the division. Church, Long, Hunt, Sigurdsson, McAnuff, Kebe... When they're all on form they can be devastating in this division. In midfield we have quality too, with Tabb and Howard both experienced for their age. It's only in defense where I se...

Dear God, can people let it go?
It didn't work out for us, but if he was as successful for as as he was at Watford (that lot loved him before he became 'Judas' for joining us) we wouldn't give a damn what he said.

Re: Injured Players

If McAnuff is still with us. QPR friend of mine thinks they will sign him next week. If they do we ought to be able to siphon off enough of that to get a decent replacement at the price they'll have to give us. Even taking into account a lot will go into our £3.5m hole. If McAnuff leaves (which I d...

if Griffin was to sign he could even find himself behind Academy graduate Julian Kelly in the pecking order.

Re: Federici wants New Deal.

One year of 50% ok-ish performances and 50% solid performances doesn't warrant a new contract in my eyes, especially not when we're trying to cut the wage bill.

See how he performs next season, then give him a contract in January if he impresses.

Re: Goodbye Marek!

A little gutted with this news. He was a true professional, and showed glimpses of pure quality. Like many on here have said, will always be remembered for his Liverpool scorcher. Unlucky sums him up, really. Never got a good run in the team and as a result never really settled down in the team. £65...
