Re: £5 Comic Relief Red Reading Footy shirt

For me, it just illustrates how overpriced replica kit is if they can flog them for £5. You would imagine that £5 is incredibly close to the cost price, and putting aside some overheads, it shows what a poor deal a normal shirt is. Even when selling them off "half price", the margin is sti...

Re: Unfortunately ANOTHER In or Out poll

Jaap Stam had a dream,
To kill our football team,
Had loads of money but he wasted every penny,
Blackett at the back,
No one in attack,
We're Reading FC, Stam's getting the sack.

Re: Royal Elm Park

The one thing that really concerns me is stadium expansion. If the need arises to increase capacity by 10-15,000, what is the likelihood that one nimby objects and blocks expansion. Surely there would have to be something in the sales contract giving the club the right to expand the stadium?

Tragedy? No.

ED's sad passing is a tragedy. A player moving on is hardly that. In light of recent news, some perspective may be needed.

http://m.basingstokegazette.co.uk/news/14291634.Basingstoke_football_coach_awarded_for_tireless_work/ Posted this for balance. As has been said, he's getting better. It may just be the case that people are resistant to change, but he was poor when he started. Now he seems about the same as the old b...

Re: Semi final tickets?

I would have preferred a plus 1 but the club were on a loser whatever they did. I can understand why they've done it this way and bear no ills. Trouble is that everybody comes out of the woodwork for the big games. I wonder how many of the iwanttogotowembleyivebeenareadingfanforyears brigade will be...

Re: Semi final tickets?

Season ticket holders should get absolute priority and a plus one. To all those questioning this, where were you when we've been appalling this season? Leeds? Wigan? Derby? Brentford? When you can provide a decent answer to this that doesn't involve CBA, come and talk. Until then, wait in line - my ...

Don't like the bloke. Never forgiven him for the relish he took in sending Sonks off against Villa. Couldn't wait to get the red card out.

Re: BFTG Forrst (H)

I don't have an opinion on whether it was right for this bloke to be thrown out as I didn't see what happened. It's funny however that when it happened in the first half coincided with the noise levels rising in the stadium and Reading having their best spell of the game. Whatever the rights and wro...

Re: Back From The Game - Wigan

What a steaming pile that was. You could forgive it if it was a one off, but the truth is that the majority of the home games this season have been totally dire - whoever is managing the team. Defence has improved under Clarke, but the midfield creativity is still lacking. The thing is, if you have ...

Re: Adkins -what next?

I hate calling for people to be sacked, it's a hateful thing and although football is a bubble, you should remember that this is a mans livelihood. However it's a results business and he is not performing. He would undoubtedly argue privately that the mitigation is that he has not been backed as pro...
