Re: RUMOUR: Mohamed Sissoko

Particularly when one is about 2ft taller than the other. Doesn't really look like either of them.

Re: RUMOUR: Jordan Rhodes

... just to add to that, I think something no-one has mentioned so far is that he's unproven in the Championship let alone in the Premiership and that £6million seems a lot for him. Just wanted to make sure this is said as I don't think anyone has said this yet. how many of the 41 pages in t...

Re: Scott urges Reading FC to spend wisely

Silver Fox How the fack did Keith Scott get in the goalscorer's union? was it just based on his goal v Bradford?

To be fair, I'm struggling to think of a better goal scored by a Reading player at the Mad Stad. Just bizarre to think it was scored by Keith Scott!

Re: Interesting article about Rodgers by Mick Gooding

Indeed. Fair enough we've not spent anything like the money we've received in transfer fees, but nonetheless, £3.5m at this level is a huge sum of money to spend, particularly when £2m of it barely makes the bench.

Re: You've never won f**k all

Always makes me smile when opposition fans sing this at us given that it's a double negative so, in fact, they are implying we've won lots of things. Despite wracking my brains, I've yet to think of a witty reply though. Can't imagine singing 'That's a double negative...' to have much of an impact....

I actually really like that bcubed! Can't imagine it catching on, but you never know.

And we do live in the Royal county, so maybe we should be well known for good grammer and speaking the Queen's English!

Re: Everton £3.5 bid for hunt rejected

Would he really be that unhappy if he stayed? I would have thought the prospect of playing with his brother for a few years is not something he'd pass up readily, particularly if we can have a successful season - and the signs are certainly there.

My wife has family in Switzerland and I've been over with her a few times. Absolutely fantastic place, beautiful in both summer and Winter, but for different reasons.

I quite like the idea of living there for a couple of years, but it's a bit far from the Mad Stad :-(

Given that his contract negotiations were so well publicised, I think it would have been very difficult for the club to have agreed to excessive wage demands without causing unrest amongst the rest of the squad. The fact that everyone else has signed up on long contracts with no problem suggests we'...

Nicky Shorey in Garth Crooks' team of the season

Very complimentary he is too: NICKY SHOREY (Reading) Nicky has perhaps been the outstanding find in the Premiership this season. He has been truly magnificent. He has been almost ever-present and his standard of football has earned his selection in the England B international later this month. There...

erm...I think the Sky reporter deserves a whoosh.

Coppell's comments were clearly meant tongue in cheek, though I was quite surprised none of the journos seemed to laugh when he said it in his post match interview.

Maybe they don't understand sarcasm...

Pretty feeble response if you ask me. '£65,000 barely pays one of my players a month's salary'. Well, £100,000 only just does so what's the difference?

Maybe Convey should tell Sidwell where he does his food shopping, seeing as he can seemingly afford to eat on the wages RFC pays him, unlike Sidwell.
