Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

See nothing other than a comfortable home win. I hope you are right, but there's not exactly a lot to pick between most of the teams in this division, and it wouldn't take much of a dip in performances to be struggling again. We still let in too many goals, meaning we almost always need to score at...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

Will be interested to see how Ben Garrity plays against us. Have supported Warrington Town since moving here 10 years ago and Ben is just the sort of player we should have been looking at, was obviously destined for a league career. I sent an email recommending we looked at a left winger in this lea...

Re: New manager rumours and speculation

F*ck!!!!!!!......just f*cking f*ck f*ck f*ck. Can we get a refund on the season ticket. I can't take another season of watching the same sh*tty smash and grab failed bullshit with f*ck all shots and attempts on goal. Is that super"c*nt"agent behind this? Lots of managerial options and thi...

Even back in the 60s they were at it. Seem to remember a song called "Reading you're the tops" to the tune of "You were made for me " by Freddie and the Dreamers!

Away to Stockport or Carlisle oxf*rd hell, the absolute pathetic indignation of it How far have we fallen I seem to remember when Derby got relegated a similar quote got used and quite rightly the Hobnob board was very indignant about it. Yet here you go spouting similar nonsense. You should be ash...

Re: New manager rumours and speculation

I have seen it mentioned that we’re looking at Luke Williams the Notts County manager. Obviously, pure speculation but a managerial appointment of this nature wouldn’t surprise me. Also, he might be able to persuade Langstaff to come here. Suggest a quick glance at his record as Swindon manager mig...

Re: New manager poll

Find it quite odd that people criticise Dai's appointments then come up with really naff suggestions. For example Cowley Bros, have a read of some of the supporters of Huddersfield or Portsmouth, or Nathan Jones at Stoke. Think we need look past the list of out of work managers, they are out of work...

Re: Drop Carroll

Absolutely, the only plan seemed to be a long aimless ball in his direction, easily dealt with. He spent a fair time on the deck too, as did Long. Perhaps younger players would stay on their feet better and press better. We must be one of the easiest teams to work out a game plan against.

Very funny thread on Sunderland's fans website having a pop at each other about leaving early on Wednesday. Let's hope the theme continues after Saturday's game

Went to watch Warrington v Radcliffe in the Northern Premier League this afternoon where Jem Karacan was playing for Radcliffe. Had wondered why he was playing at this level. I now know, the game completely passed him by, quite disappointed really even though I have a Warrington season ticket and we...

Re: Who are you local non league team?

I've got a season ticket for Warrington in the Northern Premier League. Really good standard of football and a few well known faces still plying their trade. Interesting managerial appointment by our opponents on Saturday, South Shields. Kevin Phillips taking his first management job.

Re: Olise being sold for £8m?

Lots of hindsight on this thread. To have a clause of that size for a lad who at the time hadn't broken into the team shows far more foresight than the teams that released him before he joined our academy. And if we had offered him a huge contract with big wages and it hadnt gone the way it has the ...

Re: Mike Conroy

Anyone complaining about our style of play at the moment should have to have endured the Branfoot era to know what turgid football was really like. Might be my memory playing tricks but I seem to remember his hands were tied with the selection of the cup winning team in that several of his newer sig...

Pat Terry could handle himself pretty well. Robin Friday was hard but in a more sneaky way
