Re: Ups & Downs 23/24

Looking at the Championship promotion picture, I think Southampton are back in play. If Southampton win their two games in hand on Ipswich and Leeds, it would be: Ipswich - Pld 43 - Pts 89 Leicester - Pld 42 - Pts 88 Leeds - Pld 43 - Pts 87 Southampton - Pld 43 - Pts 87 I believe Leicester's game i...

Re: European Leagues + MLS Thread 2012/2013

Went to Sporting KC v Inter Miami on Sat night. Miami won 3-2 with Messi and Suarez both scoring. Suarez quite literally looks like he's on his last legs. Messi and Busquets best players on the pitch by a long way. They moved the game from their usual 25,000 capacity stadium, to the Chiefs stadium....

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

FT 2-2. With Port Vale and Cheltenham both losing that means Reading are now 10 (TEN) points clear of the bottom 4. Port Vale (21st) don't have enough games left to be able to reach 50 points and Cheltenham can only do so if they win all 4 games they have left but would have to make a good 20 goal ...

Yep. Why isn’t Williams in their ear telling them?

It's infuriating.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

As it stands we’re safe- Port Vale will never beat our goal difference. They're losing so can't catch us. Burton & Cheltenham are playing each other on Tuesday. Both can't catch us. We're mathematically safe as it stands Ah fair, didn't realise they were playing eachother. Even if they weren't ...

How have all Championship clubs avoided points deductions this season? I thought half the league were on the brink last year.

Re: Weekend Football

Listened to Ben Foster yesterday explain that the reason some goalkeepers are now using vaseline on their gloves is because the Premier League footballs used are always brand new for each match and when they are new they have a weird film covering on them, and that combined with the wetness of a wa...

Re: Do you ever wear a football shirt?

I get why people might wear them for doing some sport or around the house/gardening as they are comfortable and very washable. What I don't get is adults over about 20 or so wearing them, especially fat blokes and it seems like most shirt-wearing fans are fat. They definitely look better on women. ...

Generally for playing football and lounging around the house, but occasionally out and about since I moved.

Completely forgot Vickers existed . Toss up between Wing and Bindon, but Wing edges it. So had I until reading this post strangely enough. Just had to check his record at Brighton and looks like he has played 7 games for the u21 there - 3 goals, 2 assists. Anyway, the answer to the question of this...
