Re: Rival Watch

Surely the defence is just "well, you could've won a couple more matches over the course of a 46 game season lads"

Re: Do fans have to take action ASAP?

This is Reading FC - there will be no protest. Its not the Reading way. Pauno coming over to applaud fans after Fulham debacle to be greeted by boos and applause and then for the remainder of players acknowledging fans being applauded tells you all you need to know. Here's an idea. How about we re-...

Re: Rival Watch

On Derby. I understand part of the issue is the ongoing legal proceedings with Middlesbrough and Wycombe are stopping buyers coming forward because they don’t want to be saddle with a big liability if Derby lose the court cases. I can understand Wycombe’s stance to an extent as they went down at the...

Re: January Window

That's a good £20-25k off the wages, maybe we could put that towards a new contract for Carroll?

Good keeper though. That triple save vs Fulham was ridiculous

Uke Why aren’t the journalists finding out more about this racism story? They don’t have to be the “author” of the scoop

What story?

Re: Liam moore

You can call it poor taste but the club aren't going to put a statement like that without significant reason. I imagine he's pissed off a fair few. Asking to leave in the middle of a relegation battle, when you're the club captain earning £35k a week? I can't be arsed with footballers any more.

Re: Liam moore

He can fcuk off. This is the most difficult time for the club for decades, and instead of the club captain taking responsibility and earning his massive wage, he downs tools.

Pretty scathing statement from the club that, really.

Re: Pauno out

As Pepe says in reply to that tweet, a manager leaving at the end of the season managing players who probably won't be here next season, in a relegation battle.

What could go wrong.

Re: Pauno out

Criticism of that Moore situation is very easy now, in hindsight. But at the time he was our most important player, very in form, and one of the Championship's most sought after defenders. And then one of Bristol City's defenders went for something like £25m. The owners did the right thing at the ti...

Feels like he's been around forever, but he's only 22. I remember some hype around him at Forest when he was only 16 or 17.

Same with Ryan Sessegnon. Been around forever, but he's only 21

Winston Biscuit Chris Wood completes his £25M transfer to Newcastle.

Beheaddie Howe bringing in the big guns

Not sure that this is what Newcastle fans had in mind when the new owners came in.

Part of me thinks they've done it mainly to weaken a relegation rival, rather than anything else

Re: The generic transfer thread

Grealish and Coutinho similar in that they chose to be small fish in a big pond, rather than the opposite. They'd have ended up building a statue of Coutinho at Anfield if he'd have stayed. The funny thing was, there were direct quotes from Coutinho after the move that he did it to win trophies. Th...

Re: Pauno out

ITK Eddie on Twitter saying the Paunovic didn't take training today. I am not reading too much into that for now. I am not sure we have enough fit senior players to bother holding a training session tbh. Maybe. But it would be a bit weird for his source to say that he didn't attend training if ther...

Re: Pauno out

I have never known the anger expressed by every Reading fan I talked to last night having walked out when the fourth went in. We usually have a pretty passive fan base. Last night everyone I spoke to without exception.....around twenty people were livid. Everyone wanted Pauno out. One idiot blamed ...
