Re: Fixtures for 2019/2020

Cardiff game away early Feb likely to be moved due to rugby - probably get a Friday night away game like a few seasons ago Overall, it's an OK set of fixtures. I tend to ignore the so called "quality" of the opponents because it's miles too early to say now who will be good and who won't b...

Scoring 4 league goals in 2 seasons do though

You looking for a fight mister?

Hopefully you’ll show as much fight as Swift does

Re: Fixtures for 2019/2020

I love Sky’s unpredictability, no one would ever have guessed that Derby, Leeds, Forest and Salford would be the four games chosen for TV, would have taken a miracle to guess those four

Re: VAR

Was against VAR before tonight but open to improvements in the system. But after tonight, I'm shocked anyone can defend it. So many errors in that 3rd goal, Scotland's sub problem, the retake of the penalty was ludicrous and the referee failing to add any injury time when it nearly took 10 minutes. ...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

yeah roughly how I see it. Kelly won't be in I doubt though, more likely to be Olise/Loader or East Still gives you a bench of Baldock, GMac, McIntyre, Novakovich, Richards, Ward - and possibly McNulty, Kelly, Meyler +the other youth lads. It isn't a relegation team to me, but obviously lacks depth...

Re: Fixtures for 2019/2020

Always look forward to fixture day, it's just a step towards the season starting. The main ones I always look for is opening day and a couple of fixtures beyond that, Christmas period, Easter period and last few games of the season. Also always look for likes of Brentford, Fulham away etc... Would ...

Re: Explain like I'm five: our FFP crisis

To anyone criticising FFP as maintaining the status quo, what is the alternative? Allowing clubs to borrow loads, get promoted at the expense of clubs who try to do it properly, and create a situation where every club has an incentive to unsustainably spend money on players they cant afford? You do...

I've been meaning to take a stab at replying to this all day, but the day has gotten away from me. You may have seen my recent article for The Tilehurst End. https://thetilehurstend.sbnation.com/2019/5/20/18631429/what-is-financial-fair-play-and-why-should-we-care-reading-fc I'd have a read of that...

is anything going to actually happen this week? Need something better to talk about... Hopefully so. Think someone said it was regional on another thread, makes sense because let's be honest who would want to travel 300 miles for a meaningless game

Re: Rival Watch

Never really understood the clamour from our fans for Elphick...played 3/4 games max and in one of them we conceded 4 goals at home to a bang average Ipswich team (not forgetting all 4 went in on the half Elphick played) Have you forgotten how bad we were that season? I think it was a mixture of wi...
