Re: Rumour - Ben Heneghan

Our outgoings dramatically outweigh our incomings, we're broke, our owners aren't but we're not our owners. So basically the same thing. No it isn’t the same thing. But as it was explained to you previously and you didn’t get it there is no point explaining it again. No, I got it, I disagreed with ...

Re: Rival Watch

Few more transfer dealings in the Champ Liam Kelly gone to QPR (fortunately not our one  ) Lee Wallace (from Rangers) gone to QPR - previously worked with Warburton at Rangers Luke Thomas - Derby to Barnsley (spent the season at Coventry, Derby fans slightly disappointed with that one) Daniel ...

Re: Fixtures for 2019/2020

Is the Carabao cup draw also the same day? Is it seeded/non seeded, generally remembered it as being seeded but then we played Birmingham last year in the 1st round Seeding was removed last year. Is that including the south/north divide? I think I preferred it when it was seeded to avoid the inevit...

Re: Rival Watch

Slaven Bilic on his way to West Brom - very good appointment Garry Monk on his way out of Birmingham if reports are to be believed Houghton to Birmingham would be the most sensible bet if Monk is leaving. Hughton can surely do better than brum? I think he’d go back there again. At the time he said ...

Re: Rival Watch

Well, there are conflicting reports on it. We now have some saying he may well stay (including the BBC - very reliable) so I expect this may rumble on Apparently Birmingham have the third least home wins in the division which hasn't pleased the board But I agree with you, Monk is a difficult manager...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

To be honest, there were periods throughout the season where I kept changing my mind, after Bolton and Blackburn I thought we were doomed but then after Hull and Brentford with Eza there I thought we'd be safe. It seemed like we would keep giving false promises every so often just to disappoint agai...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

Bit more in the Portuguese media re: what JG found when he arrived now on the Tilehurst End website https://thetilehurstend.sbnation.com/2019/6/12/18660216/jose-gomes-it-was-chaos-when-i-arrived-reading-fc-royals I think fair to say that we were a dire shambles by the time Gomes arrived. We weren't...

Re: Fixtures for 2019/2020

If it's anything to go by, the festive fixtures are the 21st, 26th, 28th and 1st. Obviously subject to change though

The thing that strikes me is the Villa Derby game, one game later one is going to Tottenham, the other could feasibly be going to Luton

Re: Nations League & Friendlies

VAR is far from perfect. I see that but let’s give it a decent amount of time before we completely write it off. A year really isn’t that long especially as it’s been used sparingly to date. The game is so fast these days with too much cheating going on that it’s inevitable match officials get it w...

Another one set for a move. Jonathan Woodgate to Boro. Seems like teams are now going for the "younger, less experienced types" after the likes of Farke, Wagner etc

Going for Wigan away first game of the season Stoke at home last game Leeds away will be a night game like always and we'll get the usual comments Away on boxing day like always Prem fixtures come out tomorrow. This will give us an inkling as to when the international breaks are/maybe when some midw...

Re: Celtic Eye Moore

Lol @ thinking a top flight winners medal and European football is trivial. Or that the English second tier trumps it. Who cares how easy it is to get, it's still a top flight winners medal and a whole lot more high profile than finishing 20th in the Championship. Moore's certainly not going to win...

Yeah, not many people doubt his talent/effort. Big question is can he stay fit?

Thought Gunter put in a very typical like Gunter performance for Wales tonight with a couple of decent crosses into the box

Re: Celtic Eye Moore

LOL at comparing winning a Championship medal (oldest league in the world, hugely competitive) with strolling though aScottish season to be handed a medal for not really having to do too much. As for who gets medals - when we won the league every member of staffgot a medal, there is no limit to how...

Re: Are we screwed?

This proposal may see the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal etc cast their nets even wider than they already do and snap up more of the local talent that might otherwise go to local academies like Reading's..... If there was a cap on Foreign players that extended to EU players, then Arsenal/Chelsea etc wil...

Re: Financial Fair Play

Worrying we're told there's a self imposed embargo and then the second a Moore rumour turns up it's lifted. Don't get me wrong, he's got to be close to our highest earner and almost certainly getting paid well above his value. He's also one of our most valuable players to sell, but we're so chronic...
