Re: England - the future....

Maybe he was taking the chance to test Maguire against a major football nation to see how much he could rely on him in big games going into the tournament. Personally I think Maguire is such an easy stick to beat Southgate with, he should have dropped him for a few games in preparation where the re...

Re: England - the future....

Thing is, given the general negative reaction to us losing a football match by a single goal to Brazil, it's hard to imagine that had Southgate played a few more inexperienced players and we'd been thrashed 5-0, he'd have been criticised for that, too. Fwiw, having seen some of the 'highlights pack...

Re: England - the future....

Maguire proving again that he should be nowhere near an England squad  In this case, who would be your four CB’s you’d choose instead? Southgate is constantly criticised for not choosing players on form (some of it justified IMO). Maguire has had a relatively decent season club wise and has c...

Re: Weekend Football

Liverpool must be absolutely kicking themselves. And Nunez - I know he’s got something but it ain’t a brain. Anyway, cracking set of Qtr Finals. Most enjoyable. Three cracking games and then Man City you mean! Glad Coventry avoided them in the semis, at least City can’t bore that game to death All ...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Yep, clear second yellow but the ref probably decided he didn't want to "spoil the game" Again more consistency (see MacAllister above) Really sick and tired of the dumb-ass refereeing we're seeing this season and it's getting worse. Decisions not being made correctly because "it hap...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Quadruple chance done. Poor from Klopp. Players were looking leggy and he didn’t make the right subs

On a side note, what is the point of Gakpo? Seems to score a few in Europe but offers very little domestically

Re: Weekend Football

And it seems Liverpool do find themselves on the worst end of many of these incredulous decisions. That’s only because the “bigger” teams draw more attention. It’s evident everywhere Don’t particularly understand the handball law myself but from the naked eye, it seems like West Ham have been extre...

Re: Selles In

Obviously Arsenal are a different proposition, but there was no fight, no belief, no coherent system. We'd have done a better job against them in the FA Cup. It's hard, but there is no justification being 5-0 down at home at HT. Wilder looks like a broken man. Our situation would have broken him bu...

Re: Weekend Football

Is this the part of the season where City relentlessly swat aside all in their path? Yes. They do look a little more vulnerable to the counter attack. I think Arsenal or Liverpool would have done them today. This. No guarantee Liverpool will next week though. A Liverpool win would make it really in...

Rashford is an embarrassment Very good strike granted, but he hasn’t done a single thing right all afternoon other than that. You simply cannot carry passengers at this level and is the exact reason why United will never challenge right at the top with wasters like him in the side You look at what ...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

Love the Monday morning meltdown on X using freeze frame pictures, tbf they`re getting plenty of practice this season. Rashford was fouled, Edison should have been sent off for winning the ball. :D it seems to have become a monday morning X, formally known as twitter, thing to go through some previ...

NathStPaul Got to think one of thr big boys will come in for Bowen in the summer, he's been very consistent for a couple of seasons now. Would really suit United imo.

Moving to United wouldn’t be a good move for him IMO

Always thought he’d have been a perfect Klopp player, plays a very similar game to Salah

Re: MATCHWATCH : Shrewsbury Town (h)

I thought Kelvin was good out wide. Far better than Mukairu was. Looked a threat throughout I don’t think he is a number 9. He’s more a Meite style wide player or a number 10. I think it’s a natural assumption he’ll be a good target man as he’s 6ft4 but that’s necessarily the case This. Smith and W...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Shrewsbury Town (h)

I think we just have to chalk it down to a bad day against opposition who wanted it more than us. It happens, and the progress shown over the last few months indicates we have more than enough to stay out of the bottom four. This defeat reminded me of the one at Luton in 05/06 although obviously in...

Can see Burton winning (though knowing our luck, Carlisle will get a confidence boosting win ahead of the weekend) Charlton losing as will Shrewsbury and Cambridge, Vale & Fleetwood will draw - Cheltenham draw. So we will drop to 17th. 14 - Burton P34 Pts 41 15 - Exeter P35 Pts 40 16 - Wycombe ...

NathStPaul I used to like Klopp but I now can't wait for him to go. Moaning crybaby.

He’s definitely become a lot more bitter but still hope they win the title above City and in particular Arteta
