Re: Champions League/Europa League 2020/21

Chelsea have only conceded 10 goals in 24 games since Tuchel took charge, and Mendy is a big part of that. A barely fathomable 18 clean sheets in those 24 games. 5 of those 10 goals conceded came at home to West Brom, who are the only team to score more than one against Chelsea in that time. :? :lo...

Re: Champions League/Europa League 2020/21

Madrid were awful last night - no penetration whatsoever, and cut open at ease - should have been 4/5 down by the time Chelsea got their second Daresay reminded me of us under Stam in his second season - utter shambles That's what happens with no Ronaldo to bail you out  Credit to Chelsea thou...

Re: Ups & Downs 2020/21

Is always a treat when the fixture list serves up a game which becomes in essence a one match 'winner takes all'. Fulham v Newcastle still, just, has potential for such. Newcastle have Leicester and City next, Fulham play Burnley and Southampton. If those results all go Fulham's way the gap is thre...

Re: Ups & Downs 2020/21

Be a shame for Wayne Rooney's Derby to go down and not see their supporters crying on TV. Edited - but yeah Although have always preferred Derby to Forest Dunno, Forest have been fairly inoffensive over the past few years. Derby have overspent, got away with an FFP points deduction and their suppor...

Re: Ups & Downs 2020/21

Love the end of season dramas like the ones above! Would have been an intriguing PO final if we got there against Brentford - someone could finally break their hoodoo Think Bolton/Brum a few years ago had a mad one, on the last day where a goal went in stupidly late Another good one - Brum looked d...

Re: Ups & Downs 2020/21

It is a shame a lot of the drama has been taken away tis season, a lot has been sorted out already. Obviously we can all get behind Rotherham on Saturday and hope Derby lose to Wednesday, League 1 playoff picture has a bit of drama to it and the League 2 automatic places are still up for grabs but ...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Think it is a good move for him, he can't really lose by going there and attempting a rebuild. Can't be any worse than they have been this season. He needed to get away from the English press - he can’t hack it anymore now he’s not winning, that one about Ole and Son was particularly strange Saw he...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (h)

morganb Reckon we'll see both Baldock and Aluko get a few minutes seeing as it is their last game for the club.

I doubt it - usually for good servants to the club/extremes like O’Shea a couple of years back. Both were part of a bad chapter

Re: Pauno out

Agree with that last post. All of it and would add that with Semedo in that midfield three we looked totally unbalanced. Is Pauno only on a one year deal? It sounds like from his interview he is far from sure he will be here next season. I'm surprised by that list. I thought he had a fair few appea...

Re: Pauno out

If that's the extent of his crimes - given how effective the duo of Laurent and Rino have been when both available, then he's doing briliantly. If Pauno was perfect (or indeed, particularly experienced), he'd be managing somewhere else. Fans are losing a bit of perspective here. Sure - but that's b...

Re: Pauno out

It's pretty embarassing that in a season where we finish 7th/8th, this 'Pauno out' thread has reached 13 pages. What a load of dribbling nonsense. disagree, irrespective of what sort of season we've had. 1 win in 11? There wouldn't be a club in the country that wouldn't have a proportion of fans ca...

windermereROYAL New manager bounce is nonsense, how did Sheffield Wednesday and WBA do when they got the new bosses in?

Just because it may/may not be a thing doesn't always mean it's applicable. You'll pretty much always find contrary evidence to the norm

Whether ours was/wasn't is another thing mind

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (h)

Yep we do need to win this. I would play Southwood though. Not sure I agree that this is really a must win - although some believe there's a correlation to how you end a season and how you start the next one so each to their own Besides, even if we were desperate to win, maybe it isn't the best ide...

Re: Ex Players

Thought he was a very important player for us and we certainly missed him when he left. Scored a worldy goal at home against a team I can't quite remember (Charlton?). Blackburn - Brian’s first game back in his second spell Williams was OK - didn’t think he was as good as people thought and he didn...

Re: Ex Players

Danny Williams has confirmed that he has retired from football. Only just turned 32 a couple of months back - so relatively young still for a footballer. Like a fair few of our former players, he’s done very little since leaving That’s a fair few from Stam’s team that have retired now - only 4 year...

Re: Champions League/Europa League 2020/21

What was Poch complaining about at the end with Veratti ? looked like he was saying 'tell me why?' I see this morning there are claims by Veratti & Herrera that the ref was swearing at them. So maybe something to do with that. Well done referee. The PSG players were a disgrace in the 2nd half a...

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

What happened to Schalke this season? Only 13 points? Have they had a massive points deduction? They were hunting for a Europe spot last year, then from no-where, they just seemed to collapse. 6 points from their last 16 games last season - and that run seems to have continued into this season too....
