Re: AFCON 2019

This was originally to be in Cameroon. I had work up the coast that could have overlapped, which made it A PLAN.

It got moved to Egypt. Brilliant.

Re: Nations League & Friendlies

Most of the problems come from two places. First, fans and, in particular, pundits who do not know what the rules are. Some of this might be that the rules, or the senses of priority within them, have changed. And, yeah, I think that's a valid complaint. Seemingly endless clarifications on, for exam...

Re: Nations League & Friendlies

I actually think England have a solid chance in the U-21s later in the summer. To be honest my only concern at the moment is the seeming reliance on set pieces and not nearly enough threat in open play against the “half decent” teams. This is not a problem. Being a solid side, with well organised se...

Re: Under 20 World Cup

African sides appear to be doing alright. It's on my hotel telly along with the COSAFA cup (watched Botswana pull 2 back on South Africa then win on pens).

The England team that won it are probably making up the U-21 squad in Italy later this month.

Getting on for a quarter of a century ago. Only Reading fans well into their 30s will have any memory of this  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwk4Erxrsqs - let's pretend the rest of the day didn't happen. The biggest heartbreak in all of my years as a fan. I was devastated. I really thought...

Divock Origi, pointless answer in the making.

The early goal all but killed it, along with one of the more anaemic final performances of modern times.

Hendo On the attendances, when you consider the size of the fan base and the size of clubs compared with other League 1 clubs, it’s not that astonishing.
